'13 TX FS Kameron Miles

Agreed...who says that ish? I love it man...I hope he comes in here with a fire/I hope his visit rocks and only makes his commitment stronger.

This staff's ability to recruit safeties has kind of gone under the radar, to be honest. They pull in quality a guy every class.

That's true. I wish we had as good of a corner committed right now, but it'll work out.

Also, I think "Mom made Pizza Rolls!" every time I see your avatar. Cracks me up dude.

I could be wrong, but wasn't Miles at the Opening? Does anybody know how he did? Maybe ate a heart or two?

Bump. This is going to be a great prospect for us.
The consensus top safety among this year's group is West Mesquite's Miles. The 6 foot 2, 200 pound Miles is everything that you would want at the position. He's got the size to come up into the box and yet he can play centerfield for you as evidenced by his five interceptions last season. Even though Miles may be more of a 4.7 forty guy right now, he certainly doesn't seem to be an issue with regard to his playmaking skills, at least not at the high school level. However, some people think that his best position may actually wind up being a linebacker.

How'd Miles look at the Opening? I was on vacation all week and couldn't watch.

I didn't watch but Barton Simmons with 247 said he was prob the most physically imposing player at safety there. That the the opening is not a place where he can showcase his talent. He said that he held his own but he is the type of safety that you see his true colors when the pads are on and he drops down in the box. Feels we got a good one for sals defense

I just wanted to see what he did at the event. He's the type of safety I like to see running the alley. He really knows how to stop a runner in his tracks. And he's big. I can see a nickel defense like this:

S: McNeil
S: K.Miles
Star/Nickel: Vonn Bell
CB: Bonner
CB: Tino Thomas/ Coleman

I think we can work with that lineup.
