'13 TX FS Kameron Miles

Kam's Teammate got a Big Boost in the ratings tho.

so he was a top sprinter but only seen as a possession receiver ...

a lot of these "evaluators" are Charlatans

Plus the fact he's not been on an" actual" football field playing actual football so I guess their determination must be based on camp running and such. I'm beginning to think these guys really dont know anymore than us recruiting junkies.

Perroni hasn't got the best rep as an evaluator ATP. IHO if a kid doesn't have a Texas offer he sucks.

I think he's a good player. I don't think he is the best safety in the country like every other vol fan. Texas might have DBs, but they would offer if he was top 5 in the country.

I don't think anyone thinks he's the top safety in the country.

Dalton Santos didn't until a few weeks before NSD and he was one of my, if not THE, favorite "commits" last year.

I agree with the sentiment of your post though...:hi:

I think he got moved to where he should be right now. If he was a legit top 100 he would have an offer from ou, Texas, osu, or a&m. He can still move up during his senior year.

He is the same player at 86 as whatever he is now.

I'm pretty sure OSU did offer him in the last week.

I actually thought he might jump a little in the rankings after some of his recent combine performances. That said, he didn't drop much at all.

I think most regulars know I could care less about rankings but the explanations/basis for the rankings are quite funny.

Rivals like every other recruiting service is in business for the fans. It's entertainment. I'm with Jay, it really doesn't matter. To me offer lists are the best indicator of talent level.

This^^^^. They need advertising and subscriptions to maximize profits. They are not about accuracy as much as profitability and will do whatever they believe to get them there. Not a bad thing, but readers beware.

safety kameron miles (mesquite, texas/west mesquite) has had a memorable spring. More than 20 offers. A verbal commitment to tennessee two weeks ago. A spot in the espn 300.

On wednesday, miles added the opening to his constantly growing resume. Miles was invited to and accepted the invitation to compete in the opening, a training and competition showcase that will take place july 5-8 at nike headquarters in beaverton, ore.

Just stop.

So you would rather have a guy with offers from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, or a guy that has no SEC offers. Tennessee has picked up several guys with no offers of any meaning. You have to compete with the big boys on the recruiting trail to win with them.

I think you have to be careful. half of these kids who say they have offers, really don't without conditions. Very few are committments accepted on the spot.........alot of them are "you have a scholly is player A or B say no", but they can claim an offer.

I also think certain coaches, like Dooley, are smart enought o see the talent before some other coaches are aware of them.........so they have no offers and then dooley sees them, and other coaches eventually hear about them too. look at the WR pickup you guys got today............Saban went and saw him last week, but Dooley was on the kid early.

Miles is suppose to be visiting w/ his family in the next few weeks, possibly for the July camp. His teammate CB Will Early is suppose to be coming w/ him & also there is a chance his other teammate WR Eldridge Massington comes also.

In b4 all of the "Will Early" jokes. On a serious note, I really hope Massington comes with him. I am sure that he's just coming along for the ride, but maybe we could give him something to think about. I would love to steal him from Kiffin. His size fits the Da'rick mold.

Massington was high on us prior to his commitment to USC
