d looked much better than i expacted. o had some trouble with the RG+RT....but, to be honest: who expected that a freshman looks good against this d ? .... they need some time to be competative....no reason to blame these kids.

Have you had any talks with your boy Jakob lately?

Very true.. Give them a couple years and they'll play with anybody.

not yet but i gonna talk to him soon. i´m sure he feels so great so see some filed time this season

i´m also 100 % sure, that he is 1000 % motivated to work hard with that young team !

like coach JONES stated: Losing will never be accepted here.

jakob hates loosing....

form my point of view d is competative. the o needs to improve for next season to keep the opponent´s o off the field. a moving o is the best d.

it looks like there are great years comming up. i saw impressing player, plays.....it feels like this program is gonna be a successful ones !

:good!::good!::good!:

This is the feeling around these parts, as well. Last year's OL with the rest of this year's team would make for an interesting season, as I think we could easily compete for the east. After seeing these kids play Saturday night, I really feel that we are just a decent OL away from competing for the East. All of the other parts are there. Yes, some of those parts are young, but they sure did look like they belonged the other night.

somtimes they were mismatch by numbers...so what can you do as a player ? i played ol myself in the 90´s....so i know about these situations.... it makes you look bad...especially on the next level of football.

This kid is a physical beast... If he can really learn the game and his responsibilities the sky is the limit. He has the tools now we just need to work on him between the ears. And that is not meant as a slight to him... Just that he has not been playing the game as long as most.

Very well put.

I think JRM would move to the middle if AJ couldnt play and probably how it plays out next year.

Weatherd OLB
JRM ILB
Bates OLB

I see Curt getting moved back to MLB. I know its tough to see him move positions again, but with MLB being such an important leadership role and Curt being the leader of this defense I think that would be a move we'll probably see. I also honestly believe MLB would best best in getting him to the NFL.

So I'm saying:

OLB:JRM/McDowell MLB:Curt/Jakob OLB:Weatherd/Bates

Bates and Weatherd will sub in and out depending on down and distance. I think the coaches realize that it probably be best to let Jakob settle in at MLB if he's moving back there. Our DEs look good with Barnett and Vereen and Hendrix. We also have Henderson, Miller, and Lewis for depth.
