'14 GA RB Treyvon Paulk (UT Signee 2/5/14)

I’m reminded of UGA here. How many years did we play them where they had a true freshman RB starting? Washaun Ealey (2009), Isaiah Crowell (2011), Todd Gurley and Keith Marshall (2012), and Brendan Douglas and J.J. Green (2013). One friggin’ injury/suspension and you could blow your entire season.

Good to see that Paulk sees the opportunity. Don’t want to be like South Carolina and run one guy to death in a game. Or like Alabama and try and keep 387 backs happy (until they transfer).

Relax? No time to relax! We need to focus on the '15 class.:clapping:

Shoooot. Ain't nothing to worry bout. Thig gon thing and Butch gon Butch. I've never been this comfortable leading up to NSD. We usually have half the class wavering or considering other schools.

Or having to fill it up with just anybody. The Dooley philosophy.

After this recruiting haul more than half his recruits will be gone.

That type of roster attrition is normal, though.

And neither Paul Harris or Jabo Lee are on the team any more, so that effectively means you are averaging the 18 from last year with the 34(ish) from this year and getting 26 for each. Normal class size.

It’s just that it was so concentrated in the DL and LBs that it seems like they lost more than usual. That, and they Sabanized half the defensive backs for some reason.

Next cycle no unit loses much in the way of numbers (except TE). There may be around 18 spots open due to graduation.

With as many plays that our offense wants to eventually run with our tempo you need 3 RBs to get carries each game. We just didn't have 3 of them to rely on last year not did we run the number of plays we would like to at full strength.

Per Wes Rucker:

That's the strength of their class, and it's one of the best running back classes in the country. I don't know if it's the best, but it's at least close. I don't know if anybody's got a trio like that, when you put them all together. Paulk's one of the best in Georgia, and he gets downhill, and he's strong, strong. He might be the strongest of the three. And Hurd has got the size and the awesome film. I thought he was as good as anybody in Tennessee this year, and he's a guy that’s going to play right away and I think make a lot of Volunteer fans really happy. And Derrell Scott, imagine that. That's icing on the cake. He's the fastest of the three, and probably the most versatile.

So they get just a little bit of everything with that stable, and that's going to be one of the strengths of their team in the years to come.

Can you imagine when we are rotating these guys with Lane? CBJ is figuring the QB wont have to throw the ball too often anyway!

It's definitely got to be one of the best RB hauls in the country this year. I've got to think Hurd is the fastest of all three and not Scott though.

CMB has got to be frothing at the mouth with this NSD. Best trio of rb's and wr class in the nation...imo. He's got toys to make defenses play scared.

Treyvon is def the strongest of the three which bodes well in the SEC. His lower half is incredibly strong and he benches well over 400lbs already.

If he had been an EE and was healthy he would've cracked the rotation early. He's gonna be hard to handle.
