I'd like to see a scenario where if a kid is a SR or a Juco kid headed to another school and looks to be qualified grades wise, he can sign ANY time. IMO it would eliminate alot of the flip flopping and would also help kids see when they are being slow played.
Recruit, "Coach, I want to sign today"!
Coach, "Not quite yet, we really want you though".
Kid can then consider options as it's an obvious slow play tactic. Sooner coaches can know a kid is signed, the easier it is to fill out a class IMO.
Not many on VN complained when Dobbs was flipped from AZ St. last year. We could still flip RB Derrell Scott from SC. Us Vols fans have lived through the bad times when more were stolen from us than the other way around. I believe we will like the rule better as we start flipping good players who are committed to other schools. Relax man, I know how you feel.
