'14 JUCO DT Davonte Lambert (Auburn Commit 12/18/13)

From AU Rivals -

Lambert announced that he will be making his final decision tomorrow at 3 p.m. That decision will be the team he signs with on Dec. 19. I have stayed close to Lambert throughout. Auburn has made a late push the last few weeks with in-house visits to Lambert as well as to his mother and grandmother. Lambert has told me over and over that he will be enrolling to Tennessee in January. However, the relationship Lambert has with Garner can't be ruled out.

We will find out tomorrow.

I think the same way. I can't see a reason for him to do this is just to build drama for himself. He doesn't seem to be an attention seeker so that leads me to believe he's decided against us.

I'd be tripping right now if not for 74's post. I've been tripping on DT recruiting for years. Something doesn't seem right ESP considering who we're recruiting again$t

I know I said I wasn't gona worry uuuggghhh! But the fact that Vic and the tweetmeisters are so quiet lends me to believe we are good and they are aiding in keeping things quiet to preserve his wishes. I believe this same quiet phenomenon occurred leading up to Malone during Mr Football n such. Otherwise I think we would being seeing mass tweetage to come join 118. I'm sure these boys text daily under the radar of us blabber mouths.

Vol74 saying no worries leads me to believe he's told Hurd there's nothing to worry about, but with an additional announcement tomorrow I'm trying to think like I'm not a Tn fan and it just doesn't seem positive. If we think objectively is there any good to this tomorrow?

Looks like a well planned PR move followed by a firm Butch slap when he pulls the UT cap. Same magic as getting a commit week after week the day after a loss.

I can see this being like the Levenberry situation last year. I didn't really understand that whole situation but hopefully it goes our way this time.

Lambert will be wearing #6 next year. We do not have any #6 players on D.
Auburn has a starting D player that has always worn #6 and will wear #6 next year.

Very simple math jimmy. I like it. Acuums (sp?)Razor theory. All things being equal, the most obvious answer is usually the correct one.

Can anyone answer in JuCo only terms, what we have lost in the last 3-4 years?

Denico Autry - I didn't see much of 2 years ago
Damien Jacobs - was a filler for UF
Ben Bradley, played a lot of backup this year
Toby Johnson - minimal effect due to injury
Jonathan Rumph - barely saw the field for UGA

I feel like for every Cordalle Patterson there is a John Brown that turns out to be a waste especially with only 2years to coach the new system.

now this is not to say I will not be happy to see Lambert as a VFL but don't put all eggs in one basket as Butch has shown there is always a plan.

Bahaha you guys are idiots, if he is announcing again it's quite obvious he has flipped. If he hadn't flipped there would be no point. He would like like and idiot going out there for a announcement ceremony and picking the Tennessee hat. " today we have Devonte Lambert a Vols commit choosing between Tennesssee and the Auburn Tigers.... What do you know he picked the Vols hat" wake up people dude is gone. Close to home, much more talent, PLAYING FOR CHAMPIONSHIPS AND NOT JUST TALKING ABOUT BEING A CHAMPIONSHIP FOOTBALL TEAM! Kid is gonezo hopefully like Cuonzo

Um No. He's from Waynesboro, GA. It's 258 miles to AU and 315 miles to UT. I seriously doubt he will be swayed by 57 miles.
