'14 JUCO DT Davonte Lambert (Auburn Commit 12/18/13)

Huge blow. Huge position of need... Wow. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

could be a huge blow but he might have got to Tn and couldn't crack 2 deep. we will never know. I think its his loss not Tn loss. he acts like he could be trouble. A mans word is all he really has

It's recruiting. Schools and players play the game.

No hard feelings. We lost out on a stud. It happens.

UT and this class will be fine.

It would have been nice, but the breaks don't always go your way.

This was good for Butch and Co - they will work even harder because of this.

Team 118.

First off, I'm not a classy guy.
Second, so much for Lambert and all that b.s. about his granny. My grandmother would tell me to stick to my word. Says a lot about the upbringing.

Whatever happened to teaching your kids "A man's word is his bond"?? Seems like that's gone the way of the Edsel, Pontiac, and Hudson.

I agree we are all guessing as is Bruin but he guessed right.

The only thing I did was always left it open to a possibility that the first 247 report was correct

The fact was everything that happened after that made it look more possible.

Everything after that added fuel to the kid is a liar angle

Hope he enjoys Auburn... Don't say VFL if you're not a Vol for LIFE. Horrible way to handle it, Davonte.

I never thought I'd say it but I wanna see Saban spank Auburn in the iron bowl next year.

Wow, It's a loss at a position at need.
Not devastating, but still a loss. CBJ will overcome.

I just wish Lambert had been more honest.
However, it happens all the time in recruiting.

Next.

GBO

Usually I laugh at people that bad mouth a commit that doesn't choose us or even flips from us, BUT this is completely different. This whole thing was the epitome of classlessness

Everyone quickly get their Lambert comments out and then let's just bury the thread. Better to celebrate the commitments who held true to their word. Blair, Pearson, and Williams are a good start to 2014. CBJ and company will figure this extra spot out.

I agree but SEC games are won and lost in the trenches and right now, our trenches aren't looking too good for 2014 and 2015 for that matter

Good thing is our jobs don't depend on it like the Coaches. They know the situation better than all of us so they'll find a way. They don't have a choice. They have shown they can recruit against the best. However, going up against the hottest team in CFB playing in the NC is a tough, tough road to climb.

This makes me respect guys like Lauderdale who at least de-commit and are honest that they are looking around. But this proves that winning is the cure all medicine...
