'14 JUCO DT Davonte Lambert (Auburn Commit 12/18/13)

Division III doesn't even offer scholarships

OK. What's your point? Last I checked, financial aid is available. If people would stop coddling these underachieving @$$ kids, they would try a lot harder to make the grades. You should at least want the kid to put forth some effort and not be like Dexter Manley. Geesh

These kids at JUCO are just there academically to qualify to a D1 school while playing football. Obviously they are going to take the easiest route they can.

I'm sure UT's JUCO recruits are indulging themselves with the most mentally stimulating courses available to them...

No doubt that's true. I just don't see our coach lauding the academic standing of a guy that would never be accepted if he wasn't a football player.

The D3 example was just a really bad one though. Many of the D3 schools in the south are liberal arts colleges with yearly tuition of ~50,000 bucks.

You could get 30 grand in scholarships and/or financial aid to go to one of those schools and still be nowhere close to paying your tuition. Most of the financial aid you can receive at those schools is based on merit, so you need grades to pay for the school.

If you're interested only in playing football, most of the nearby D3 schools probably aren't for you. The academics at schools like Rhodes, Sewanee, Centre College, and Burmingham Southern are no joke.

So if grades are an issue and football is the most important thing for a player, D3 is probably the least affordable route to go unless you want to take out over close to six figures worth of student loans to play football.

Easy feller! I'm on your side. Just making a point that he is relying on a scholarship to advance his football ambitions and that probably wouldn't happen at a division III school.

Something that has spiked my curiousity after seeing Kipp Adams quotes. It's clear his sources for this were lambert and lambert a HS coach. Garner has known lambert since HS recruitment this I'm sure is tight with Coach Parker from this and his UGA days.

I don't recall this HS coach being anywhere in the recruitment until now. Things that make you go hmmmmmmmmmmm $mh

Some say yes, some say no. Yet to be determined.

It isn't "yet to be determined". Auburn, Lambert, and everyone else involved has made every indication that he has not failed any classes and that he is in fact on track to enroll in January as planned. Gus Malzahn mentioned him by name today in a conference call, and noted his "good grades". Lambert has one online course which he will complete at the end of this month.

Your retarded former QB saw a news release by Auburn at 12pm yesterday which didn't include Lambert's name as a JUCO enrollment; he then for some reason concluded that this meant that Lambert didn't qualify. What Erik Ainge didn't seem to take into account was that Lambert didn't even announce/sign until 3pm, hence why his name wasn't printed in an article which was released 3 hours earlier.

What I saw was he is "planning on enrolling" Pending a On-Line course. And speaking of retarded maybe you should go style your hair.

I'm an idiot for clearing up ridiculous lies/stories that you people cant seem to stop biting for and spreading?

You guys are still talking about him failing to qualify when it has already been cleared up: Erik Ainge is an idiot, there is no legitimacy behind these new developments.

JUCO's have until early January to enroll in classes. The online course he is finishing is set to conclude at the end of this month. This was the plan for him all-along, there is no change.

That is a WHOLE lot different than "he has 2 D's and an F" and "he didn't qualify!!" which you people are spreading.

If you are 100% sure about it,then why keep arguing over it?
