'14 JUCO DT Davonte Lambert (Auburn Commit 12/18/13)

i say we get it over 10,000.

No need to set such a challenge.

It will eclipse that mark quickly once he doesn't get into Auburn. 70% of VN will join in mocking him and the other 30% will continually bring up the remote possibility that we could pick him back up after NSD.

I heard this kid can get into the Barm, lol, what a joke. What are the chances we can get back in on him? He would still be a solid addition.

:)

Please Lord, strike this thread with your lightening. Oops. Maybe he did. This showed up again. Oh my!

Nothing good can come from this thread from here on out haha. I disagree with this kid's decision; but its his decision. Even though I think he chose poorly, I wish him the best of luck. Mahlzanns getting a good one.

There is no reason to lock the thread yet. Some moderation would be appreciated. I for one will be keeping an eye on Lambert until he lands somewhere or until he falls flat on his face.

Also, back on Lambert. He signed his LOI to Auburn on JUCO NSD correct? My question is, if somehow he does not make it in academically, then wouldn't Auburn be forced to lose that scholarship and treat it was if it were an academic casualty, kind of like how we did with Jabo Lee? . . . Or am I misunderstanding how JUCO "signees" work?

I hope all his tree's die and stuff.. Right Harvey? Bamers are Bamers even when from Auburn. If you don't believe it, ask a map..
Very underrated post. :good!:

I don't know how that works either, but I certainly hope so.

The LOI he signed is void at this point since he couldn't academically qualify, I believe. Technically he could sign with another team at this time. Kind of irrelevant because it's unlikely the kid gets qualified without help.

He'll get help at Auburn. I swear sports are completely going down the toilet. It's exactly like how baseketball said it. I hope he never sees another football field again. What a POS.

The problem isn't keeping them in the program; it's getting them qualified to get in. Now maybe this kid gets some assistance and gets into Auburn but IDK that I would bet on it at this point.

If Alabama can get Eddie Lacy in, Auburn could get Lambert in. Corruption wins in sports as proven by the NFL and their predetermined outcomes.

This kind of attitude is petty and pathetic. MOVE ON AND LET IT GO.

Having no character is more pathetic. I swear we have some butthurt fans when something negative comes out. Stop being apart of the PC group think mentality. I have the right to call it as it is. I usually move on quickly when someone flips, but the way Lambert went at flipping is extremely low class. He's about as classy as the state he's going to.

If they want him bad enough they'll figure out a way to make his grades a lot better when the time comes.. I'm just glad the NC trophy resides in another state this year. Let the Butt hurt flow..

Thing is does Auburn under a new coach that has been successful want to roll the dice on a late entry JUCO player? All programs play or have played in the gray areas of recruiting, Auburn is historically one of the dirtiest programs. It all depends on how much that culture has truly changed under Malzahn.

They just did last year with Nick Marshall. They will do it again with Lambert.

I doubt Malzahn wants to change the culture. I think he was being groomed/vetted to be a future tiger HC before they even hired Chizek.

I'd be shocked if Lambert doesn't get in this summer/fall.

I thought that the JUCO LOI in December was for Spring enrollment. What happens if you sign an LOI and do not enroll in Spring? I would assume that either:
1) The LOI is binding for later fall enrollment (if eligible) and counts against Auburn's totals even if he never qualifies.
2) The LOI is void, but it still counts towards Auburn's totals.

I think that the LOI counts as an initial counter no matter the circumstance.
