Other names that have emerged included Lance McDowell and Jihad Ward. Ward is a very interesting project to say the least. At 6-foot-7, 285-pounds, the Globe Institute of Technology defensive lineman started out playing wide receiver and safety in high school before growing a tremendous amount from his senior year to now. He left high school measuring in around 6-5, 225-pounds.

Ward may be a bit more of a project and may be down the board some, but he's someone worth keeping an eye on and we'll have a story on him this weekend.

please keep the discussion around the recruit and away from politics. We have a separate forum for that

Don't know about taking a JUCO project unless he's got incredible raw talent. We need someone who can step and play immediately.

between Temple, UT and Washington. how do we not win this battle?

Who says we would accept his commitment? We already turned down Poona, and some think Humphries too.

I think he has an offer, but not a commitable one yet. If we miss on Barnett, Berrios, Blair, or Mosley, then he is probably a take (maybe even 2 of the 4, before he's a take).

I'm no scout but he looks like a monster in his hudl video. Just destroys QB's and RB's. Yes, please.

What's the deal with an uncomittable offer? By definition an offer is committable under contract law. Its an oxymoron. If I were a recruit and a school "offered" me a scholarship that I could not take, I'd take it as an affront.
