If he was going to make it I would hope something positive would have came out by now.
I agree. All the reports seem to be just the opposite. I'm trying to believe the kid would not make the trip to Knoxville unless he felt very good about making it in, but IMO time is running out and it does not look good. He leaves Knoxville, and IMO his chance at being a Vol is zero.
If there such thing as mid year enrollee?
I have no idea. I'm not sure the staff would even bother. It's not like he could show up in October and take the job frcoone. At least I seriously doubt it. I'd think the staff at that point would rather have the scholarship to use on someone with a lot more time to play. JMO
I just really don't understand....... If he would have signed with Texas a&m or bama there would be no talk of if he gets in, he would of gotten in. Why can't we find out how to break rules and not get caught like everybody else. I know some players from bama that could not even pull a 1.0 more less a 2.0 and they started for 3 years.....

You can bet that if it's a clearinghouse issue, then the NCAA will take their sweet time for a potential UT player. If he was trying to get cleared at Bama, then they would be working around the clock to do it...actually, he would have probably been on their campus in January.
This might have already been brought up, but if he doesn't make it in until August and the coaches don't feel like he's in shape or ready to play, can't he still redshirt? I thought I read somewhere that he had three years to play two seasons.
Is that a possibility?
