I think they would play him only if absolutely necessary. They obviously want to redshirt him to give him time to catch up in conditioning and the mental part of OL in major D1 football. jmo

If he was a bust then no reason to RS. The fact that he likely is gona RS makes me believe whole heartedly that he isn't ready and will be in the mix next year. Otherwise move him on through and clear up a scholarship. Patience and trust my friends.

I don't see how he could be any worse than Kerby/Thomas at either T. Jmo though

I think Kendrick looked better than both our current tackles too

I agree though RSing him is probly b/c the staff wants him around another 2 years.

I think that they would be pleasantly surprised if the put Kendrick,Sanders,Roberson,Crowder and Weisman in and see what they could do. Couldnt be no worse could it

Then who do we play next year? They will have a full year's experience under their belts. Regardless where they play, they should be better and stronger.

I guess I'm still holding out hope Blair comes on so we can put Kerby at RG which would displace Robertson. And then my other hope is Kendrick or Sanders plays the other tackle spot. I just like the idea of playing older stronger guys. Not to mention guys playing positions they seem more natural at. Watching Kerbyson and Thomas back peddling while a DE crashes down adn with any sort of swim or spin move has been brutal this year. Marcus Jackson played and then RS'd, so did Dobbs.

He is listed on the 2 deep for the depth chart vs Ole Miss IIRC

He travels and dresses but he ain't playing unless there is an multiple injury.situation that forces him and Kendrick in the game. At least its like media says if we though he was hopeless then we wouldn't be red shirting him

No. You have 5 years to play 4. You can use the redshirt at any point.

Actually as a junior. Last year was his normal junior season.

The rule states, some paraphrasing, you may red shirt at anytime as long as you have not participated in a game that year. A medical red shirt is allowed if you have played in no more than 25% of the games in a year.
