'14 JUCO TX WR Kameel Jackson (UT walk-on)

yeah, really need improved QB play this year or we are looking at a 5-7 again

I have no doubt the QBs will be noticeably better than last year, but regardless I disagree. If Worley was playing at the level he did leading up to his injury through the whole year we beat Florida and Vandy and go 7-5. This year Florida, Missouri, USC, Vandy, and Georgia will be worse.

I think Georgia could be really really good. Their secondary is questionable but their defense has serious talent elsewhere. They have a quality QB, very good OL, and a bunch of offensive weapons. I could see them being the team to beat in the East.

Swain has stated that the day that Kameel Jackson steps on campus, that he will be the best WR at the University of Tennessee.

That is an interesting statement to say the least.

IMO there's no way you can call Hutson Mason quality yet. He's completely unproven, and even if he's solid there will be a big dropoff from Aaron Murray. We beat them last year without Murray willing them on in the fourth. They've got a lot of good talent on their fronts, but I never trust them to do anything close to what they should with their talent. I could see them going either way, but my optimistic self is going to say that their defense will be solid but the offense will take a step back due to the loss of Murray.

Regardless I would agree that they're the team to beat in the east. I also think that on paper we have an as good or better chance of beating them this year compared to last year.

Haha he doesn't count since Bray took over the two years he was here. Legitimate starters

I don't think Worley will be a complete disaster if he is the starter. In fact, if the deep ball is improved, he could be good.

Keep in mind we still have to say if he is the starter.

Name one of those guys who has no arm talent. I'll steal matt simms from the guy above.

I definitely disagree that Worley doesn't have any arm talent if that's what you're saying. He steadily improved last year up until his injury. He struggled early because the whole offense was learning a new system. CZA even said that a lot of the misses were on the WRs. I expect the whole offense to look much sharper this year.

I agree bud. I think he has a lot to prove. Over my lifetime, I have seen a lot of players have breakout senior seasons. Such as D-Mo, Zach Rodgers, Sapp this past season, Ayers, Stephens, and many more. I just wish there wasn't as much pressure on Worley, because I believe that is what hurts him the most.

Not overly concerned about pass pro, Marlin is an excellent back in the passing game

The QBs, however, my levels of concern are slightly elevated.

Kameel is Legit talent

I also saw that Hurd is already getting praised for his pass pro. Not something you hear too often from an incoming freshman.

yes so true. ive noticed in the past that Marlin really sticks in there on pass pro. he doesnt back down. he was much better at it than Neal. He catches well too.

Jalen will be fine. mentally theres alot to learn but hes a special kid. On a physical level it also helps to be 225lbs when learning pass pro.

As much as most are afraid to admit it, you are spot on about Worley and going 7-5 last year.(Although Driskell going down for Florida was the best thing that could have happened for them) Georgia will not be worse this year though. Their defense will be solid and we can't forget that we did not face Gurley last year.

Our problem was our defense, not our offense.

While our defense has been absolutely terrible for awhile now I would have to disagree. 2012 is the only time recently we have had a decent offense. We lost to Florida and Vanderbilt last year due to our inability to score.

So... if we just dream way too much here...

1. Kameel is the real deal here, has a fantastic season, 800+ yards receiving. He's old enough to go pro after one season, right?

2. Pearson does about the same, he can go pro too.

3. That would still leave us with Malone, Preston Williams, and North in 2015.
