Not sure, but doesn't it seem strange the staff stopped recruiting him altogether after his Unofficial? I wonder if the other committed players saw some red flags with him and warned the staff. I will say that I'm not overly impressed. Not sure what Florida sees in him. I can sort of see Bama offering because of the unique type of player/frame it takes to play NG for them. Looks like a mid to low 3-star to me.

Well I just hope some capable DTs with interest in us emerge over the summer. A few usually do

Why we aren't recruiting this kid when he expressed explicit interest in us is beyond me. Don't know what's going through butchs head in this one.

Just because he is big doesn't mean he is good.

I still wonder how McCullers is going to fair in this move to the 4-3. He is not an every down guy.

Pretty clear the kid is a NT with the teams coming after him all being 3-4 defenses. (Stoops run 3-4?)

UF is recruiting him as an OL, not DT. Albeit, I'm not sure how strongly they're after him.

He is not very popular on the UL board. I saw where the UL coaches scheduled a visit with him and when they got there he was wearing Arkansas gear. Hope he is sporting Vols gear for his UK visit.

I've heard some strange stories about him. The fact that the staff hasn't offered IMO should tell us something.

I agree. Every unknown about him put aside, I think he's a little overrated. That area doesn't exactly have great football. The talen production just isn't that great.

But, I don't know that much about Elam. He could be one of the few.

“I would say my top five in no order is Kentucky, Alabama, Louisville, Tennessee, and Florida. But if other colleges like Ohio State or Florida State for instance come in, I’d like to think they could make the top five. I’m just trying to keep my mind open and talk to all these coaches.”

I wouldn’t say they’re pressuring me, but showing a lot of love. They’re showing me how the team is going to be with Coach Stoops coming in. He’s a defensive guy and I’m a defensive player, so he’s talking about how they could help me and how I could help with the rebuilding.”

Technically to RE- build there has to have been something there before. Perhaps if he had just said build
