If I ever meet skeeter in person:

Hopefully skeeter is a hot chick.

Well that's interesting.

No doubt. If you look at the units individually...DL, DB, WR/TE, LB, RB (with the addition of Scott), all of those groups are some of the best UT has signed in awhile. OL has real potential too.

Exactly. IMO this year's DL (assuming Hendrix and Barnett sign), DB, LB, WR, TE and RB class are far better than anything Dooley signed at those positions in 3 years.

We do not have a consensus 5-star recruit among our current commitments. If we land Scott AND Adoree, I'll put us in the elite category. As of today, the only classes in that category for me are bama, osu, a&m, lsu, fsu, and auburn.. They all have at least 8 players rated 95 or higher on 247. Tennessee only has 5. Still a great class, but those 6 are a notch above IMO.

I'm not worried about 247's ratings, especially those stupid consensus ratings. You have one service who has a bad rating on a guy and no matter what the other 10 services think a guy plummets in 247's "consensus" rankings.

I also like the quality of depth Tennessee has in this class better than what FSU and Auburn have right now. They might have one or two more higher end elite guys but Tennessee has the quality depth in this class that keeps them in the elite category IMO.

That's the detail that stands out to me and will pay off in the long run. Can't wait for the '15 class.

Other than WR and LB, I agree. The 2010 and 2012 WR classes were phenominal. Same can be said for 2011 LBs.

That 2012 WR class was overrated on paper. Patterson was obviously legit, but the HS 4-stars they got were borderline 4-star talents at best. None even close to the level of North or Malone.

And the 2011 LB class wasnt nearly as good as this one. You had two quality LB's in it with AJ and Curt, and that was it. This class has at least 4 very legit LB prospects in it.

It's a good. From everything We have gathered the feeling is Tennessee is the team to beat coming out of those in-homes and while South Carolina has continued to go after him, I don't have anyone telling me the turned the tide from the Vols. Pfort

True, but it's only fair to compare them by the "on paper" standard at this point. Until Malone or Pearson proves it on the field, they have potential to be overrated.

I just made an argument against my stance on the LBs though. If we stick to what this class looks like on paper compared to what the 2011 class looked like on paper... this class dominates.

Not sure if it's gone, or if the glare of the picture blends it into the orange bill. But if you look at the "corners" of the hat, UF and USCe still have the sides poking out. The UT hat, they are smoothed out...they generally happens when a young man has been wearing it around his house all night getting hype with his parents.

Lol! How can you seriously tell that from that pic? The hats are so far away. I do like the bold power T hat that he chose though.

I said it too at the time. That class in general I felt was a lot worse than it appeared on paper. A lot of the team needs were not even close to being filled. They signed something like 11 or 12 4-stars but at least half of those guys were at best borderline 3/4 stars guys. And then you had those with some serious off-field / character issues who Tennessee took out of desperation (Borque, Phillips, etc..).
