Well when i say scat back I mean a RB who cannot break tackles. Hurd will be the first RB in a long time that UT will have a RB that can break tackles.

And if you look at most successful D1 schools today they have RB's that have speed but can run over people as well. At least breaks the first tackle.

Thats one of the many problems our Offense has had. Scott looks like he could be something with a few years of college training (maybe). But you take a chance like you do with all players but IMO i would not waste a scholly this year on someone who will not play much if any at all his freshman year when we could save that slot for a big time RB next year who could contribute his Freshman year! Again JMO!

any sports reporter/analyst/writer blah blah blah gets a crystal ball. since he is a radio host, he gets one. thats why when a CB prediction is made, you need to look at who made the pick. bleacher report and other blog writers get a CB also

This guy has athletic ability and alot of it. You can teach him skill sets and scheme but its hard to teach guys athletic ability. I for one was sick of Dooleys recruiting and this guy is a he run

You don't have to break tackles when you are so quick and shifty that you can make the first guy miss anyway. What's the difference?

Tended bar at two different country clubs during my college years...amazed at how many of these business and professional guys would start an early morning round of golf with a stiff drink :hi:

He is not Mr Reid caus i can tell you for a fact they know how good scott is. If gou saw his three TD runs on a wet field in the state title game againt an outstanding Concord team then you are clueless. Reid will get his state title this season, i fully believe that.

So what if he doesn't play till his sophomore or junior seasons. We are in a sad state to believe that all freshmen have to play. Depth, depth, depth!

I did see however a RB on the other team that looked very impressive. Not sure if i have his name right but i think he was Rocky Reed. Something like that. Had a weird name. But that kid was a junior 6'1 210 pds and looks like a future D1 RB.

So I am not sold on Scott. He is over rated IMO. Sorry but would not waste a scholly on this type of RB. JMO!

Reid finished with 41 rushes for 218 yards and a score, while Scott total 18 rushes for 209 yards and three scores en route to game MVP honors.

Good find... Scott's speed and athletism is undeniable. However, one (not you) doesn't have to cut one RB down to build the other up. Different sytyles IMO
I've seen Reid play and he's a stud also. I'm sure CBJ and co. Are keeping a close eye on him for '15 class. I trust their player evaluations

Not putting reid down at all, i said two of the nations best. Id love to have them both. Completely different backs but both very very good. I hope scott and reid both are vols.

If we cap this offensive skill class off with Scott, it will be the most explosive signing class on offense I've ever seen.

2 immediate impact dynamic RB's, WR's and TE's. Also one really good Slot WR.

Hubbs on our biggest competition and what we have to overcome.

I think South Carolina is the biggest competitor. I think his relationship with Gillespie is what gives the Vols a shot. He liked it here on his visit. I think many around him have been in South Carolina's corner so I think that's what Tennessee has to overcome with him.
