Felt like he would pull the trigger today, was setting up that way. So glad to have him in Knoxville. Solid get.

"After countless hours of reviewing my options and what was important to me Tennessee was just the perfect fit for me," Wolf said.

First and foremost, I truly felt like a priority with the staff and someone that they really wanted to grow around. The coaching staff is first class and the facilities are fantastic," Wolf said.

"I wanted to be in an offense that was a good fit for me and Tennessee definitely fits my skillset. They want a three down tight end. Someone that can block, someone that can also flex out And be a mismatch downfield," Wolf said. "That style of play was important to me because I feel those are my strengths. Playing in the SEC is also very exciting to me."

"Coach Elder is a fantastic coach but even a better person. He along with the rest of the staff are just top notch guys and made me feel just wonderful every time I met them and spoke to them," Wolf said. "I look forward to playing for Coach Elder and I know he is very excited to be able to coach me."

How he fits: The Vols are projected to have six scholarship tight ends on campus in 2014 at this point – Wolf, Brendan Downs, Justin Meredith, Justin King, Woody Quinn and A.J. Branisel.

Only Downs has recorded a catch to this point. Meredith has struggled with injury issues, King is making the switch from fullback to tight end this spring and Quinn and Branisel will enroll this summer.

It’s a crowded position, but with few proven players, Wolf, who will come in with one of the biggest frames in the group, should have a chance to compete for early playing time.

I rarely make predictions, but based on reading the article, I think this kid is a Vol. Based on his quotes, that he "didn't get to see everything he wanted the first time" is pretty telling as he plans to visit UT again on Wednesday. That will be two visits in four weeks, and he's visiting as he says he's going to commit soon. He knows CBJ loves to use the TE in the offense, too. Also, CBJ and some of the staff have known him since their days at Cincy, so the relationships are there that he's looking for. JMO, of course.

Some of the guys on 247 think it's Mich. St. or UT.

That 5 wide set loaded with guys 6'5-6'6 and 230-240lbs is coming together. Welcome to Tennessee Ethan!! Kid is going to be a monster with the VOLS.

As we've all seen on twitter Wolf is committed and actually brought his own painted brick to Knoxville with him to play off the Vols' theme of brick-by-brick. Waiting to talk to him at length for the story.

That's awesome. This "Brick by brick" this has taken off. New tradition maybe?

“They said that they’re in need some depth at the tight-end position, which is something you always want to hear, being an incoming guy. ... They’re going to put me on the line. They’re going to put me off the line, split out,” Wolf said last month following his first visit to Tennessee.

“They said there’s many different ways that I’ll be used as a tight end.”

“My last visit was during Family Day (on March 16),” Wolf said before Wednesday’s visit, “and while the visit was awesome, I was unable to see a few of the important pieces like I did at the other schools I visited.”

“I love the idea of being asked to set the edge on one play, and the next play flex out and beat a linebacker for a first-down reception,” Wolf said.

He made it clear last month that Jones and his staff were among the reasons he was high on Tennessee.

“They’re all one-of-a-kind guys that we really enjoy being around,” Wolf said. “I like them a lot. (Defensive line) coach (Steve) Stripling, he’s been in the business for a long time, so he knows his football. He’s just a great guy. He’s the blue-collar guy that you want to be a part of. And Coach Elder, also, he knows what he’s talking about, and he’s been with Butch Jones since Central Michigan. He’s a great guy. He’s got a great personality, and we get along well.

“And Coach Jones, there’s so many things to say about him. He’s a class act. There’s so many things that are positive about him, the way he does things.”
