'14 OH TE/DE Ethan Wolf (UT Commit 4/10/13)

Anyone stop to consider that he may have been asked a question like, "How are you feeling about your commitment to the Vols right now?" and Wolf simply repeated the "right now" part of the question?

That's what THEY want you to think...RUN DUMMIES!

There is nothing from the UA side to suggest his commitment to UT has changed any. This year's TE class is not that deep and of course UA is going to try and recruit any top TE they believe is out there. I would expect UT to do the same at any position of need even if the kid is committed.

Seriously guys? The first guy with the sarcasm post got it right.

"He's taking summer classes right now." And "he plans to enroll in January at UT."

Put together, that makes "he's taking summer classes right now, and he plans to enroll in January at UT." Not wavering.

Size-Strength-Speed
This is a nice-sized prospect with excellent height, solid bulk and a frame that looks capable of supporting plenty more good needed mass with time in a college weight program. Displays solid speed for his size.

Separation Skills/Big Play Ability
After the catch will fight for yards. Displays adequate ability to pull away from or elude defenders.

Ball Skills
Has good set of hands on the big target will likely keep him at tight end. Demonstrates good ability to consistently extend for the ball and catch it away from his body. Can attack the ball at its highest point and flashes the ability to use his frame to shield defenders.

Blocking
With his size can be an effective and physical in-line blocker. Can deliver a good initial pop with good pad level and gain physical leverage. Flashes the ability to roll his hips at contact, but needs to continue to work on doing that more consistently as he can get overextend. Gets hands on and can drive his knees and demonstrates that he can generate vertical push off the ball. Needs to continue to improve technique to help him more consistently maintain blocks, but will work to finish and shows tenacity as a blocker.

Bottom Line
Wolf is a kid with good size and room to add more. With that size and good pair of hands he can be a tight end who can help an offense move the chains as both a blocker and pass catcher.

I am so excited about our TE prospects for. 2014...Wolf and Helm together are going to be so dominant.

ETHAN WOLF TE, 6-5/243, MINSTER, OHIO
QUOTABLE: "I love being around all the guys again, especially some that weren't there the previous time. Our connection is still extremely strong and we remain like brothers. I also love being around the coaches and just the atmosphere around them. For example, Saturday morning I went up to the office and just sat with the coaches and just talked football. It is jut a family place and I compare it to being home. I am extremely comfortable. Also, watching them do one-on-ones knowing that my time is approaching very quickly fires me up."

Free read which is why I am going to cooy and paste:

“It varies by week to week, but yeah I do still get letters and interest from other schools. I’m a solid commit to Tennessee, so it doesn’t matter.”

“I plan on going to every home game. I keep in touch with all of the commits. We have the infamous group chat where we all keep in touch from our iPhone’s. We’re all going to try and get to as many games together as possible. I love it there. I will be enrolling early and my report date is January 6th.”

“We’re working on a few guys . We need some more offensive and defensive lineman. Clifton Garret, linebacker, is another guy we are trying to sway. He is a big need here."

“I was telling people that I’ve been to an Ohio State game, and it’s nothing comparable,”

“The passion in the stands and the fan base, it’s just crazy. It was 42-0 at half, and the place was still dang near full. They’re just people that care about their football, and I can’t wait to get to one of the bigger SEC games and see 106,000 people there.

“It exceeded my expectations, and I’m very pleased with it.”

“Even if it was just a catch for 3 yards, people went crazy,” Wolf said. “The fist-up defense, that was insane — everyone just getting all fired up for fourth down. And just the fact that everybody on every play, it was always an awesome response every play. That was awesome to be a part of.”

“I’m going to try to make it to as many as I can,” he said. “It’ll have to be some of the later games due to football on Saturday mornings. I think a lot of us (Tennessee commitments) are planning on (going to) the Georgia game.

“I’m not sure if that’s set in stone yet, but that was what people were thinking.”
