Not to be the downer here, but as of yesterday 247 HAS Poona coming to the O&W game. I posted something similar last night, doesn't discredit C2P at all though as he's been saying that for a while.

He has always had Ohio State high on his list, so he was really pleased to get this offer.""Vrabel said they will be in to see him this week, but the more they watched his film they decided they didn't have to wait to see him in person," Payne added. "I sent every program a video of Poona's size and reach, and people were amazed at his wingspan.""He was headed out to track when I told him about the offer, but he had a big smile on his face when he heard about it," he continued. "We will be up at Ohio State on June 9th for camp, and Poona is looking forward to working with Vrabel and being coached by him at camp. A lot of schools are high on his list, but this one meant a lot to Poona."

The problem is that Gerry Hamilton was the one who said South Carolina is the clear leader after he talked to Poona. Keith Niebuhr was with him when they visited Hilton Head.
Gerry is the National Recruiting Director for 247, and Niebuhr is a national recruiting analyst for 247. They are not affiliated with the South Carolina site, other than being part of 247.

Not sure any of this matters at this point. C2P has not been beating his own chest, just stating what he knows. Poona, according to several sources now will be at the O&W game, C2P has already said this. C2P also said that an tOSU offer would get Poona's attention, which it has. So, we wait...only obvious thing is that it appears UT, Cocks and tOSU are factors....with that said...if C2P ever comes in and posts...:whistling:...Im gonna get my boom ready

Carolina coast has garnette colored glasses on. Gerry Hamilton has only ever spoken to the kid once...does not see nor talk to the kid often and defiantly not as much as me. Did the kid tell him that? I suppose maybe he listed SC and UT at the top of his list but you also don't know how the question was asked nor do you know how quiet the kid is. He is a borderline shy kid. Not Hamiltons fault, 247 has done alot if work covering the kid. With that said I can promise you that as I type this the kids top 2 are UT and OSU with SC a distant 3rd. SC fans are hoping Poona is a huge fan of coach jones' wife and follows her thiught process. Butch's quote at first presser...."I think I was my wife's 3rd choice, it seemed to work out well". Sc fans can only hope.

How? He's operating on information from people that are paid to cover recruiting. If people want to trust someone on a message board claiming to be an insider, then that's fine. However, what you are saying and what the people that are paid to cover recruiting are saying are conflicting pretty heavily.

Distance from home is thought to be a factor in Ford's recruitment and that appears to be helping the Gamecocks' chances."

Wearing a sc lanyard? Was wearing a UT one all this week. Oh my goodness...i hope he diesnt wear a free blue tshirt this week...his new leader will be kentucky by your standards!!! Ok go by 247 then. I find it amusing that a few UT "fans" are arguing with me about whether the kid has UT first or SC first. If you don't believe me, then don't read my posts. But after reading some posts, I now realize there were things worse than dooleys pants in neyland the past few years...some fans attitudes. Acvol and ronswanson can confirm I have a pretty good idea on this. I'm not going to argue with you in he said she said. I say u sit in your moms basement and play with tee Martin action figures. Kbvol I said in one if my first posts, Osu was more if a threat if they offered. Does Osu take over number one? No. But he is camping there...and they have offered.

I think most fans want to believe anything positive when it come to UT and recruiting. The problem I see is 247 has posted a direct quote from the kids mouth saying USCe is #1. A poster on a message board(who could be anyone) is saying UT is #1. I don't see them as being negative. I see them as leaning toward the comments made directly from the kids mouth. Maybe he is playing the game. Maybe he is not. Hope like hell he picks Tennessee in the end.

True, but with C2P only posting in this one thread, seems to indicate not a true "inside knowledge" but rather someone with an agenda, whatever that agenda might be.

That being said, 2/5/2014 is a LONG way away.
