Every position is a position of need. Definitely need some OLs-losing 4 starters, RBs-need a legit NfL type back, TEs- 3 unproven guys will be playing this year, and the secondary....well did you see our defense last yr? Enough said...

Being realistic doesn't mean you are automatically a pessimistic. All we have is this cloose2poona poster who is telling us information that seems credible and is backed up, and now the guy who is Rucker for tOSU thinks they have a good chance. Now I don't like Rucker so that doesn't mean much, and these reporters for sites are wrong quite a bit.

I think it's better to not label my posts as a "pattern", since that requires comprehensive skills not really applicable to a Football Fan site.

I have called many players IN MY OPINION as Vol locks and have been wrong and right.

The best way to keep OSU up north is to put them on the defensive in their own traditionally strong areas. If they offer somebody that UT also likes, go after them as well. The harder they have to work their own turf the tougher it will be for them to do damage in ours. Selling the best conference/ESPN connection in addition to all UT has to offer is a strong pitch to any player.

I am hoping that is what Poona knows as well.

Need RBs in the 2014 class? Jalen Hurd, the #11 player in the country and top 3 RB in the country and Treyvon Paulk, the #1 RB out of Georgia this cycle say hi.

Would I like to see us take a 5'10-6' 230LB sledge hammer type back in the '14 class? Yes I would. I also understand if the coaches pass on taking a 3rd back as it will give us a better chance of landing a couple great backs in the '15 class(Harris & Scott would be the 2 I'd like to see us get).

Maybe I read it wrong. But in the frame of reference he was referring it just seemed to me he was rebutting the quoted poster's point that we had more positions of need than the ones he listed. Nothing to do with current commits.

We don't need a 3rd back. All he was saying is RB is a need for this class. At least that is how I interpreted it.

I think with Alden Hill, Paulk, and Hurd we are in good shape with 3 backs with 3 different running styles. I'm cool with focusing on other positions of need.

It WAS before we got commitments from Hurd and Paulk. Personally, if there's room, I'd like to add depth with a 3rd. Seems to be a debate in here as to whether Butch is good with 2 or wants a 3rd. But it really can't be argued right now that RB is a great position of need when we already have commits from 2 of the top RBs in the country.

Until Hurd and Paulk actually sign on the dotted line RB is a need.

I'm pretty sure the guy (Poona, not C2P) isn't going to be adjusting his leaders significantly every few days when he's not going on visits.

And if I'm not mistaken Poona will be taking a bunch of visits in June, so probably not going to be much to say until then.
