'14 SC DT Poona Ford

Wherever that may be....as in he hasn't signed who knows what next 18 months will bring. Don't look into that comment. UT has huge lead. And here is one key thing missing when someone said UT hasn't had many Dlineman drafted in past 5 years...that may be right...BUT how many has Stripling had drafted while he was at cincy? a Butch jones recruit at Central Michigan was just the number one overall pick. Someone made an interesting point to me last week in regards to SC. Spurrier is suppose to be a QB guru. Can anyone name a dominant Qb that he has made at SC during his time there? One that has been drafted? I'm not knocking, I just couldn't think of one. He's been there long enough now to have developed one and to my knowledge it hasn't happened.

Thanks for the update and clearing that up c2p, I was a little confused by that... :hi:

Spurrier has moved away from high octane offense with good qbs to a run/play defense philosophy. That's the thing I like about him. He was willing to adapt to different circumstances. With that said **** Spurrier.

McCullers could go first round this year too. Honestly I don't see Couch making it into the first, but considering how he came on in the 4-3 his first year the switch back might help him get drafted higher.

Tradition kind of goes out the window with all the turnover we have had, but given Jones's loyalty to assistants and our financial situation I would say Ford will get to play for the same coach all 4 years here.

Got bored and read cocky talks thread on Poona. Boy that was entertaining. I guess I know nothing and Poona's coach is a SC hater according to them. I've been accurate and I know Poona's coach has personally taken him to SC three times. I guess SC fans can't handle if they are just flat out getting out recruited on a kid. 17 year old kids see alot more than people think. One head coach hits recruiting trail, one hits fairways. One school has top three facilities in country. Other school has probably worst facilities in SEC. Bottom line SC fans, if you don't get Poona, don't point a finger anywhere other than at yourself. Maybe same people complaining should open their wallets to build facilities like UT, like OSU does. It also drives me nuts to hear SC fans say he should stay in state. There are two major schools in SC including Clenson. This isn't Ohio, Georgia, New Jersey, West Virginia where there is one major university.

Tell em C2P! I can't wait to see Mr. Ford dominating in the orange and white!

Let's not get carried away with the S. Carolina bashing here... The facilities may not be on par with UT but they are top notch from what I've seen. And I'm not sure what the relevance of Clemson is with respect to people saying he should stay in state.

I wasn't SC bashing, it was a true opinion. I have seen every SEC schools facilities, And SC has the worst in my opinion. I have said in past that SC is in transition and building new facilities but until they are finished, it is what it is. I will ask the SC fan, which SEC school has facilities worse than SC. And I'm talking football facilities, not overall program. Heck, kentucky's is better.

I thought Vandy's is worst, am I wrong?

Vandy is on par with most 1A High School facilities. You can drive by Vandy's practice field and the only thing that separates players from getting hit by a car is a small drainage ditch.

The biggest negative about SC's football facilities is that they are off campus.

But the quality of the actual facilities - weight room, player's lounge, stadium area - is very high. Again, probably not quite at the same level as the facilities at Bama or UT, but not far enough off to be a very big factor, in my opinion anyway.

Vandy may not have the best facilities, but the campus and surrounding area make up for it I think. Awesome place, though you won't be competing for championships as a player there.

No I am not a coach. SC has a nicer newer weightroom and stadium isn't bad but practice facilities and lockeroom are not that nice in comparison.
