I don’t think the OL is a group of busts. They were coached horribly man. The DL didn’t produce for two different coaches. That’s a questionable sign....

Butch Jones was the bust and the stench. The kids are not busts yet. Let's see how they do with a proper strength and conditioning program. Let's see how they respond to a staff not led by a jerk off.

I don't think they will be world beaters but I do predict Pruitt will be in the running for coach of the year and we will be proud of the effort we see on the field.

I think it was more poor evaluations of talent than just crappy coaching.

I'd rather have a bunch of BIG corn fed, tobacco chewing farm boys with a mean streak than these 4* OLinemen.

The D line played inconsistently for two of the more highly regarded coaches in the game, one of whom got an NFL job about 5 minutes after we let him go. That's on the players. The O line performed at about the level you would expect given the two clowns that Lyle hired to coach them.

This right here. To add to the evaluation piece. It was obvious four years ago Mahoney sucked as a coach. Yet Butch kept him and let him serve out the length of his contract. Oh and to further add to that Mahoney replaced Sam Pittman who is arguably the best offensive line coach in college. I guess Butch felt more comfortable with his no talent buddy. Awesome evaluation there.

I hope my perceptions are wrong and this group can find some gumption. I love scrappy undertalented teams with heart that give it everything they have got. I would love for this team to find that in their selves.

Chandler and Jordan are nice but no coach wanting to win is thinking it's ok to go into sec season relying on just them two and an incoming freshman. Health and depth wise

If you think about it. Players skipping workouts and the training under Butch showed the 4-8. I’m holding judgement until we see what Pruitt can do.
