"It was a good experience; I feel like every time I come up here we bond even more," said Gaulden, an All-State performer and teammate of fellow Vols commitment Vic Wharton at Independence High School. "It was really good to see all the parents and coaches' wives. Just really gelled together and we all have a great relationship. That's kind of stuff that puts the nail in the coffin, when everybody gets along. We've all got good relationships with one another."
"We just chilled and just enjoyed different activities at his house. It's just a great experience letting him welcome us into his home. We hung out and had a great time," said Gaulden, a 6-foot-1, 180-pounder known as a fierce, fearless hitter. "That was nice, going out (Sunday) morning. I got a chance to drive the boat, so that was fun. We ate a lot. It felt like every three hours we were just eating a legit full meal. I'm not complaining about that though."
"I've just been in weight room with Vic heavy. He's gaining a lot of weight, and I'm starting to add on some pounds," Gaulden told VolQuest.com. "The biggest thing I'm starting to work on is weight. Don't let that hold me back. I'd definitely like to get bigger so that when I'm facing bigger backs like a Todd Gurley or Derrick Henry, I'll be able to provide some licks on them."
