'14 TN DB Todd Kelly Jr. (UT Signee 2/5/14)

Only 2 UA sites I really trust that have legit info and on neither of them do they predict UA for TKjr. Most seem to think everyone is chasing UT and he has not given any hope that UA is in it.

In regards to the GF I have not heard that, but many of those posters are probably the same ones that said RN was coming to UA and never once in all his recruitment did he ever name UA his leader.

If you have not learned by now 98% of all posters on sites have no clue.

That's good but predicting where a recruit will go a year from now is like trying to **** a cheetah in a corn field...

Poor example IMO. Coaches from smaller schools don't have the same resources as bigger universities. Thus they are not able to bag higher rated recruits who come in with more potential to make it to the NFL on raw talent.

I completely agree. I really like our staff especially CBJ. But if I was a parent of a guy like TKjr or dillon bates, it would be hard for me not to look at Bama or LSU bc of their recent successes of getting players at my child's position a huge NFL contract.

Any improvement this year on defense, which will not be that difficult, will look great toward these recruits and their parents that these guys can get it done.

Until UT proves that it can win consistently the backyard “Blue Chip” kids are going to continue to look at other programs. Vonn Bell stated he wanted a championship and UT was not there yet, so he signed with OSU. UT has got to show major improvement on the field this year to compete for the big fish or watch them swim out of the Tennessee waters again next year. JMO
Enough already about the lifetime Vol fan.

Where did he say anything about him being a lifetime Vol fan? He said people in our backyard but I assume that's because TKj is from TN along with some other very highly rated prospects.

Kelly is also a way better prospect than Harrison Smith.

No way that can be said without a smile on your face or even proven at this point. Smith was can't miss straight out of HS with outstanding intelligence and work ethic.

I would hope that real competitors don't think that way. If players just want to join 30 other 5* players and win a championship by contributing very little, I think I'd rather not have those players anyway. Im not talking about VB, but kids in general that just want wins handed to them.

I want players that lead the team. Ones that want to be the face of the program, not just another number on the bench. I want kids with a real hunger to win and own the competition, regardless of who they're playing with.

In 5 years, all but the few hardcore fans will remember the 10 5* players that helped Bama win last year. On the other hand, Tennessee Football will be back to the glory days someday, and we will all remember the names that brought us back there for a long long time. Thats how legends are made, and it requires kids that face challenges, not ones that run away from it.

If you want to go to the NFL it doesn't matter which of the 14 SEC teams you play for IMO. If you are TK jr, Bates, or any other prospect and you can play, you'll get drafted.

They would struggle, and would be attacked often. And their ineptitude would show early on.

You'll see why I say what I say. TKjr. is an extremely smart player. In the secondary talent and instincts will take over after being attacked so much as you say. Our talent on the backend isn't good so it would be hard to keep kids like Tabor, TKjr, and Jabril Peppers off the field at UT. And they are good enough to at the least compete right now.

Good enough. You study this more than me. Think we land either?
