You've got to give Vanderbilt players credit for trying to flip public perception. They are now the ones exhibiting thuggish behavior and, knock on wood, off-field problems, so far as we know, have been nonexistent thus far during the Butch Jones era.

If I were the parent of a player being recruited by Vandy, I'd be pretty disturbed by the stuff going on there lately. And I'm not just talking the rape and profane video. Coach Franklin allowed his star receiver, who was showing symptoms of a concussion after a big hit, to go right back onto the field against Ole Miss before he was fully evaluated. Then in the post-game press conference, he called out his team for not staying focused after Vandy went ahead late in the game, when he himself ran down the sideline and celebrated wildly with the players, when he should have been focused on getting his defense ready and focused for the next series. Not protecting your players and being a hypocrite doesn't sit well with anyone, especially a recruit's parents!

Agree wholeheartedly, James sent his best player back in at a critical moment in the game, to hell with a concussion we got a football game to win here!
