Chode Franklin is already making excuses: Vandy

I'm really hoping that Ole Miss lays the wood on Thursday.

I hate Franklin but do not see a problem with this. He saw something in the film and put it out there in the public eye before the game to ensure that the refs keep an eye on it. Nearly every coach in college football will do that at some point this season

CBJ has a humble confidence about him that I find refreshing. This dude is just a whiny little excuse making _______.

Good call Glitchen. It's a matter of a quiet, confident, classy guy in CBJ vs a loudmouth, petulant, arrogant ass in CJF. I heard interviews with both earlier this year on back to back days on the radio in Nashville. CJF complained about UT's branding itself the state university and other things, never once giving any ground or saying anything respectful in any way about Butch or UT.

On the other hand, when asked about Vandy, CBJ went out of his way to say how he respected CJF and the job he's doing, how he has friends on the Vandy staff like Herb Hand and that they're doing things right in building their program, yards, yada, yada. The difference in tone and quite honestly, character, came through the radio. It was night and day IMO.

November 23, 2013 - Neyland will be rocking. UT has bigger fish to fry than Vandy but it will be sweet to knock the smugness out of that crass **s.

Yes. Butch is classy and he respects the game to much to whine about stupid crap like "the refs better call more false starts".

You can't say that Franklin doesn't stay ahead of the game. He's already getting his excuses in line for the loss to Ole Miss Thursday night by talking about the false start penalties. He's already setting up his excuse for leaving Vandy by complaining about not selling out their season tickets and the lack of fan support. But... he's still a sorry prick.

While its a big game for Vandy, I think it is more so for Ole Miss. They just got that ridiculous class, the pressure is on to perform starting now. Losing to Vandy is unacceptable for anyone in the conference, except maybe Kentucky.

Well, UT is the state university... It's not The University of Tennessee at Vanderbilt, it's UTK..

So what did jimmy f say?

With all due respect, my twss was in response to ....

"I'm really hoping that Ole Miss lays the wood on Thursday."

With all due respect, in the same post before number 1 you said Franklin was a d""k.

Then you wrote 2 twss which seems as a response to number one

therefore it would be natural since he dresses up like a freaky tiger that 2 should've been twhs

just saying

What did he say about them not selling their tickets?

I recall the interviews as well. Night and day difference on character. CJF's showing himself with his more recent interview on 104.5 last week and now his calling out Ole Miss in the paper this week. I think the pressure's getting to the boy.

There was a newspaper article last week about Franklin being upset because they were 2300 tickets short of what they sold last season (their best season in about 25 years) and IIRC the number sold up to then was about 16,500 with 9 days left before their first game.

I can see that. Especially given Franklin's, ahem, proclivities.....

Talk about a homer douche. Barton Simmons claims he will change his crystal ball pick to vandy if they win tonight. What a joke that dude has become
