Now, we check in with Rivals.com Southeast Analyst Woody Wommack for a breakdown on Barnett:
"Landing Barnett is another big win for new coach Butch Jones and the Tennessee coach staff. It was only last year that a highly-regarded player from Brentwood Academy got away but this year the Vols are doing a great job locking down the state. Barnett is a guy who had offers from schools from all over the country and had a lot of pressure to stay in the Nashville area and attend Vanderbilt. Instead, he's coming to Knoxville where he'll have a chance to compete for playing time early in his career.
"As far as Barnett as a player, he's a guy who was a two-way player and even was being recruited by some schools as a tight end. While he's definitely a defensive lineman at the next level, the question now is whether or not he plays defensive end or defensive tackle for the Vols. At 6-foot-3, 270 pounds I could see him doing either and having success. He's a very athletic guy so I have no doubt he can adjust to either spot."
