I'm with you. This is my hunch. Butch has staged similar things this recruiting cycle. I'm not normally a conspiracy guy but I think this is what's happening.

It's just positive speculation but after reading that Missouri called his mom 6 times this morning, it kind of makes sense.

That's the thing to watch IMO. If he does not visit anywhere over the next week, He's a Vol. He takes a trip and IMO he is very likely gone. If he is really tired of the process, you don't go visit ole miss or mizzou. We'll see.

Keep in mind TN media sites aren't only ones trying to reach him. He has 3 plus sites per team blowing his phone up along with desparate coaches at mizzou and ole miss then his boys are probably reading the boards calling him.

I wouldn't freak out. Gaulden would flip his ish if his boy played us on NSD. Barnett just isn't into all this media hype stuff.

He owes a public statement like that to no one. NO ONE. If he comes out and says "It's over, I'm all Vol" then he will get asked a thousand questions about why and how his visit was, etc.

If he wants to not get interviewed until he signs with TN, he says "No interviews please." Simple.

Good post. These kids are getting inundated with questions, calls, texts - leave them alone. He is committed to UT. If he changes it publically then flip out and go into meltdown mode.

I hunted this down and "liked" it because I keep thinking the same thing when somebody says the kid should talk or make an announcement. I personally wouldn't be telling my bidness to nobody and their constant badgering would make me belligerent.

Never for the life of me will I understand why a kid flips to a school that hasn't heavily recruited them the entire time. Mizzou? Ole Miss? Hell it would make more sense if he flipped to Vandy.

Yep I remember before he committed the same people were freaking out because he didn't sound too exicited in interviews and thought he was going to Vandy because of it. Franklinvol and BOT were adamant he was a vol. im rolling with them on this one again.

Derek is a quiet kid who doesn't like to do interviews. He's shut it down and told the other schools no thanks and told Butch that there is nothing to worry about. His phone is ringing off the hook and he doesn't want to deal with it. Nothing else to see here. Go Vols!
