'15 AL OL Brandon Kennedy

Agreed. Kennedy is a day 1 starter at the Center position hands down.

No other players with experience are actual natural centers. Not saying they haven't played the position just saying it's not their Natural Position.

Doug Mathews has stated he thinks Ryan Johnson is a center. Any thoughts on that? Still think Kennedy would be great get for others to learn behind. Just curious on the Johnson kid though.

Nothing would make me happier than Saban retiring at the top of the world and then a few years later Bama finally gets what's coming to them and Saban has all of his wins and accomplishments wiped clean.

The coaches practiced Johnson at center this spring. Right now, it looks like he's our guy if Kennedy transfers to an unrestricted school.

I dont really understand why one kid was able to transfer within the SEC but not Kennedy. What am I missing here? Just an arbitrary rule hardening?

Alabama should be getting absolutely roasted for this in the media, but there seems to be radio silence. If we were blocking a player from going to Bama, how would the media be responding? It would be a night-and-day difference. The Bama bias is strong, and it's pissing me off.

What in the hello is going on with this? I wouldn't be surprised if the Bama cronies are not up to something corrupt to steer this kid away from us or Auburn. They are dirty as hell.

You're exactly right. Bama was forced to release Maurice Smith because UGA and Smith's family got the media behind them and made Saban look petty and vindictive. The Brandon Kennedy transfer has been low-profile since the SEC vote. Maybe Kennedy wants it that way. But the clock is ticking.

Kennedy can play guard or center. Same with johnson. Just work them together and see which position is best for both being in field together

He needs to announce where he wants to go so the pressure can be ramped up

I don't think he can announce he is going to a school that he is blocked from. He could give an interview to a website though and say he really wants to go somewhere but such and such is hurting him

I thought the amended the rule during the Spring meetings to allow graduates to go anywhere?

That SEC rule went into effect immediately. There is an NCAA rule that the school where the player is currently enrolled has to give permission for another school's coaches to contact a recruit. That rule change is the one that will not go into effect until Oct.

I think there is a way around this rule sort of. The recruit can send a letter of interest to the university he wants to attend stating he wants to attend. The only thing is the coach can't personally state that he can attend. I believe the university itself would have to state that he can attend the university.

Lol

But I thought since he graduated they could contact him all they wanted.....

Seriously? Not this crap again.

Nah he ain't going to go thru that again since he was proven so foolish.

But seriously A few things about the contact rule that I am not sure about.

Has Alabama still not given permission to contact to us or Auburn?

I thought it was said they eventually did give that permission a few weeks back.

If they haven't then I understand why Kennedy hasn't announced where he wants to go since he has never been legally allowed to talk with us or Auburn.
