But those who get full scholarships at other sports aren't getting a full ride in return for anything. Nor are academic scholarships. The Football athletes are generating for the schools FAR more than they are getting in return. That was my point. You asked what was their part of the millions. They are getting all their expenses paid in exchange for playing football. You are just wanting to argue and are acting like a spoiled child.

They have to pay for all the other non-revenue-generating programs...which is patently unfair to them. Seeing millions and millions of dollars being made off their back, and all they get is peanuts by comparison. College Football is as big as the NFL in terms of money generated. If they make money, they EARNED a more equitable share of it, than just a scholarship.

You mean my daughter has to pay her scholarship back? That's absolutely not true. The University provides academic scholarships to promising students under the assumption that many will pay it back to the endowment. If they don't return money to the school then it will dry up and the cycle will end.
We already had Jennings committed and were pursuing Dormady, too, for a 2nd QB. That would have given us 5 QB's on the roster, for the 2015 season.
Sort of.
Wut? I've never heard of such a thing as an awarded scholarship that requires it to be paid back. I think you are a little lost, partner. That's the financial aid dept in the Student Loans aisle. :birgits_giggle:

That's a silly argument to try and make in the first place. The Univ. hopes every alum donates back...but that has nothing to do with what they are REQUIRED to give in return. Apples and freaking Oranges, chief. No, I disputed the remark that academic scholarship student don't provide or aren't expected to provide anything back to the University. Don't really see why you would take issue with that. Of course the school expects that students who succeed will return money. Why else would they provide the scholly?
