Can't really put much too much into these games.

Hope you're right. Everything leading up to the throw has looked fine. He's just inaccurate. I'm guessing nerves. (Also, playcalls have him rolling left and that is tough) At least he's fundamentally sound so far. Hope he settles in.

The play calling doesn't attack downfield.

He would be more accurate if we tried to get him in a rhythm past shorter throws.

They have tried that and outside of the SCarol game he wasn't very accurate with them and a lot were intercepted or should have been intercepted. Not knocking Dobbs at all but moving forward we aren't gonna beat the better teams throwing 15+ bubble screens or swing passes. You have to be able to attack downfield and so far he hasn't shown consistent accuracy yet to do it. Hopefully getting Smith, North and Croom back will help along with working on his mechanics.

Y'all realize that what he does during this game has zero impact on his recruitment, right? It will also have minimal impact on his performance in college other than letting him know that there are a lot of talented players that he will be competing with and against, so he needs to prepare. Butch has already made a decision. We will find out soon.

Indeed. He throws a nice tight ball and looks to be pretty accurate. From what I watched of the game last night, I was really impressed with the zip he had on his throws outside the hashes. Another plus to me is the fact he can run, but he looks to pass first and keeps his eyes down the field. He also looked to be taller in the game than he appears on film. Maybe it was just the uniform. The commentators were also raving about his leadership ability during the week of practice. He would be an excellent late addition to this class to add additional competition at QB moving forward.
