Hello everyone. This is my first post on the board. I am sorry it happened to be in this thread, but with all of my lurking I have been unable to find a satisfactory answer. Are we recruiting any JUCO O-linemen? I am pumped that we are getting after some D-line guys, but it seems to me the place where a JUCO player could make the biggest difference on the field anywhere next year is in the trenches on the offensive side of the ball. Can anyone shed some light on this? Love the forum! Keep up the good work!

Welcome aboard! Usually those guys emerge a bit later, as with Juco D Line as well. There will be guys later on who we haven't heard of yet. I'm thinking this year we will stick with HS players though since we prob have no more than 2 remaining spots for the OL class.

CBJ was quoted a while back saying maybe 18-22. Of course some will swear it will be 25 or more. Those may be the guys sitting the in the Harrell and Johnson threads asking "Why would we be passing on guys like this"? As it stands today, I think maybe 5 more kids have to decide to leave Tennessee early for the staff to sign 20 this year.

LV, I don't think you're looking at the whole picture when you are thinking about the numbers. You seem to think that we have to have all of these players transfer before football season starts this fall. That is not the case. We only have to be down to 85 by summer of 2015, when the majority of the 2015 class will enroll. That gives us after the 2014 season and after 2015 spring practice for players to transfer that see the writing on the wall. That is still a lot of time left for guys to decide to move on. Not unrealistic at all. We will sign 23 to 25 in the 2015 class IMO.
