'15 DE GA Andrew Butcher (UT Commit 6/8/13)

Butcher taking loads of heat. He's got major stones though. Makes me proud to see the hatred he has for them. Harvey Updyke even tweeted Butcher.... Lol

Embracing the rivalry: Tennessee commit trash talks Alabama, catches grief on Twitter | Saturday Down South

We need guys like this. Ego with talent to match. Bama players have had that attitude since Saban stepped on campus, and so should ours with Butch at the helm. AJ McCarron was a cockly little *****, but he backed it up. Time for us to do the same.

If we're still in the same boat next year as we were last year, then I'll have serious doubts about this coaching staff.

I don't understand this perspective. Our roster for this coming season isn't any better than last year's, really. Our schedule isn't any easier. Why should I expect a markedly better result?

Let me slightly adjust your comment. AJ McCarron was a cocky little *****, but he backed it up behind a team that was far more superior than him.

And cheers to the new era of Hornets basketball. Long live the Hive!

In '15 we'll have Hurd/Kamara/Scott in the backfield, all 5 starting linemen returning, Wolf and Helm back at TE, and North/Malone/Pig/PW and we should have Lavon Pearson back. And we should return 9 starters on defense, as we only have 2 senior starters this year (AJ and Jordan Williams).

2015 needs to be a big year, even against tough competition.

If we're not at least a 9 win team in '15, CBJ will have to make some moves on the coaching staff. No excuse at all for not being in contention for the East next year with these recruiting classes in year 3.

Especially with the way Georgia underachieves, Florida sputtering on the field and in recruiting with Muschamp, no Franklin at Vandy, and Spurrier aging.

Do I expect us to be a lot better in 2015 YES but some people forget that other teams in the SEC are getting better as well. You could be ranked #10 nationally at the end of the year in recruiting and be #7 in the SEC. I want Tennessee to win so bad and CBJ is making strides, I just don't feel winning 9 games is as easy now as it was in 10-15-20 years ago

Hmmmm I think at least 8 wins should be attainable so I'll consider you only mildly disturbed.

I'm mildly disturbed because I think 9 wins for this university in year 3 SHOULD be attainable with the players we're bringing in? That's not disturbing at all, it's what should be if this is the right coaching staff.

I would maybe agree with you if you don't have Oklahoma as an OOC opponent. That kind of OOC game makes it much tougher. Everyone wants to see progress, but I agree that it simply isn't as easy to win 9-10 games as it used to be.

You also have to remember that team rankings only take into account your top 20 recruits. We had 31, and if Weatherd makes it, which is maybe looking a little better, then we will have all 31 on campus. I don't believe I would take any other class over ours last year because of the sheer number of impact recruits we got.

Throw in guys like Colton Jumper who is apparently making noise in a talented LB crew and Kameel Jackson being a 4 star walk on, and that's a lot more help than even other SEC teams get from one class.

That being said, it's definitely true that the SEC is more competitive than ever right now.

I like the Nasty we're bringing in with guys like Butcher and Jack Jones.

Change is gonna come.
