Do I expect us to be a lot better in 2015 YES but some people forget that other teams in the SEC are getting better as well. You could be ranked #10 nationally at the end of the year in recruiting and be #7 in the SEC. I want Tennessee to win so bad and CBJ is making strides, I just don't feel winning 9 games is as easy now as it was in 10-15-20 years ago
Spurrier has been winning 10 plus games at USC. He has had some good recruits but not like the top schools in the SEC. So, there is more to it than winning the recruiting rankings.
Spurrier has had a good and impressive run. He has benefitted from a down UT because most would agree that UT, along with UF and UGA, should be the triumvirate in the East. Overall, Carolina's recruiting classes haven't been as good as others. But, it helps greatly when you get dynamic playmakers at key positions- Clowney, Alshon Jeffery, and Marcus Lattimore. Spurrier will always have a competent QB because that is his baby. JMO.
I'm mildly disturbed because I think 9 wins for this university in year 3 SHOULD be attainable with the players we're bringing in? That's not disturbing at all, it's what should be if this is the right coaching staff.
Got to love Bama fans trashing him.
Past 20 years
Bama 10 wins
UT 10 wins
How quickly they forget. Don't worry, I'll remind them when it turns like it always does.
Whenever the subject of Tennessee comes up on any Alabama message board, someone will always post that Alabama was placed on probation in 2002 "because of Phillip Fulmer"...There is never any mention of Logan Young's payments to Albert Means' coach or of Mike Dubose or Ronnie Cottrell...No accountability - just more entitlement garbage.
