'15 DE GA Andrew Butcher (UT Commit 6/8/13)

"Really happy," Butcher said of the staff's reaction. "The main people I've been talking with have been Gillespie and coach Stripling. Coach Stripling is ecstatic about it."

"It's just a great environment knowing how much the fans support the football team," Butcher said. "The history and the tradition…it's just amazing."

"It's just the family environment and relationships that I've built up with all the coaches. I've got a family tradition up there and I'm going to like to continue that with me playing football there," said Butcher, who is the fourth pledge of Tennessee's 2015 class and the first from out of state.

"He's really excited about it," Butcher said of Dobbs. "He's a great teammate, great leader and just pushes everyone to get better."

"I'm really excited," Butcher said. "The coaching staff they have up there is great. They're definitely on the rise. I'm just glad to be a part of that."

The defensive end provided a self-scouting report: "Physicality, I won't back down from anyone. I'm ready for a challenge. I try to be a blend of both (a pass-rush and run-stopper lineman). I'm working on my pass rushing, which has improved greatly since last season working with*Constantin Ritzmann*that used to play for Tennessee."

1. It's not last year.

2. He's a '15 recruit, lots of time for more offers.

3. This staff has really shown a knack for spotting talent.

4. BUTCH GETS IT!

#4 should be #1 IMO

You gonna type "you mad bro" when he does? You love to type that when someone calls you out.

No. I'll actually be surprised. I honestly don't remember getting onto people for talking about Santos flipping. Maybe I did. Either way, guy sounds like he put money down based off my prediction of Santos to the Vols, which I never made. I was as surprised as anyone when he committed. He was, however, one of my favorite recruits of that class.

I liked the guy, but figured he would flip. Many on here got onto folks for thinking he would flip, but that's not surprising considering this is a Vol board. I don't blame them.

I'm sure this has been brought up, but since he's a legacy to Clemson, are we afraid he will pull a reverse Ryan Jenkins if he gets that offer?

If this were a Vol legacy like Bates or someone going elsewhere, this place would go into full meltdown mode if our coaching staff didnt pull it off

he said no other team is in the mix... hes had multiple family members attend UT. if he would flip with a Clemson offer, he wouldnt have committed so early

That's good to hear about him having ties to UT! Kid looks relentless in his highlights.. Hard to believe he was only a sophomore! Sky's the limit for this dude..
