I think I read he's still going on an OV to UF before NSD but at this point I think chances are slim he ends up there. Auburn or FSU are where he'll sign IMO.

Five-star defensive end Byron Cowart of Seffner (Fla.) Armwood is down to Auburn and Florida, ESPN.com reported Thursday.

"I would have to say, just to be honest, Auburn and Florida are my top two schools," Cowart told ESPN.com's Derek Tyson,. "I have to keep it professional -- I have to. Who knows, you see coaches and they go into the league, and when it’s time for you to get drafted you don’t want to have a bad name."

He added, "Right now, truly, it will come down to Auburn and Florida. That’s just being honest."

Cowart, the No. 3 overall prospect in the 247Sports Composite, officially visited the Tigers last weekend and they were expected to visit him Thursday.

Florida State was the other team that figured to be in his top group, but a scheduled Jan. 30 visit to Tallahassee, Fla., is now up in the air.

Cowart will officially visit the Gators this weekend.

FSU just hired UF's former DL coach, Brad Lawing. Cowart will definitely give the Noles a second look now. Still think he ends up signing with Auburn though. Apparently he loved his visit last weekend.

What? BC spent the afternoon with Williams at Armwood. Watching film of guys he coached at A&M and Purdue.
Stay off Aub msg boards. Its like believing the Tea Party.

Wrong. None of my information comes from anyone or anything affiliated with Auburn. In fact, it all comes from a Gator friend, who has been very reliable in the past. According to everything he's hearing the chances of Cowart, Jefferson and Ivey ending up at UF are slim to none. He said Cowart apparently was not at all impressed with the new DL coach. Unless something major happens before NSD, Cowart and his friends are Auburn bound.

Your guy is off on Cowart. This info was reported and confirmed not only by a UF site but an Armwood graduate who works for a FSU site.
