'15 FL DE Marques Ford (FORMER UT commit)

So we had decommits at DE?

Did Cowart and CeCe drop Fla or commit elsewhere?

I'm confused. So did you guys have some de-commitments? I don't really keep up with other team's commitments until the end of the year. Were Cowart and CeCe committed to you at one point or just expected to commit?

I doubt it. He'll do just enough to finish out the last yr of contract in 2015.

He is only under contract for one more year? Wow. It would be hard to recruit under those conditions.
If true, he would need a significant turn around this year. No way they are going to bring him back without an extension. He is either resigned to a longer deal or fired.

We haven't taken any DE commits BC of CeCe and Cowart.

From the get-go, the Volunteers did an astonishing job of staying persistent and making sure Ford was aware of how significant his commitment would be to their future success along the defensive front, especially when Ford made the stroll up to Knoxville in late July.

..."Those guys communicated with him religiously, which showed their interest in them. In the end, an opportunity to play in the SEC, the royal treatment he got when he visited, and he really got to bond with a few of the other recruits that went and committed (to Tennessee) eventually. Just the love he receives from the Volunteer fans and all that, I think it all just added up to basically where he's going to call home here shortly."

"Ford was disruptive once again as he had five tackles for East Bay and three tackles for loss and a sack in his team's 42-21 loss to Bloomingdale."

In today's day and age where it's common for student-athletes to make more than one verbal commitment prior to making it official on National Signing Day, Marques Ford has settled in and not looked back since selecting Butch Jones and the Tennessee Volunteers over the summer.

Ford, 6-foot-4, 225-pounds, had a remarkable offseason on the recruiting trail, resulting in more than 30 scholarship offers to choose from.

Marques Ford - Hudl

Vols offered.

Nm, I see it was from May, just weird since they took time to update below that he committed to Tn but not the Crystal ball.

This guy has the frame to add a lot of weight.. Reminds me of Maggitt, or maybe even Jordan Williams.
