'15 FL OL Tyree St. Louis

Brian Schottenheimer is the new OC/OL coach...per another poster...he's kind of a d***...good for us... Not worried about USCe.

I'm sure he can turn it off for the hour or so he'll be recruiting Allen to recommit. No way he'll be a dick before NSD, which is all that matters right now. Big name nfl hire scares me with Allen. Need TSL amd Allen, but really really need at least one.

Schottenheimer is a damn good coach. Great hire by Georgia, but he is bolting for the NFL at the first opportunity.

I agree with tux. He likes multiple sets he is perfect for their offense. You can't use NFL as a measuring stick look how many greats failed from NFL to college and visa versa. Solid hire

Hard to say he is a solid hire then just for the fact he has not proven he can succeed other just being in the nfl. His offenses sucked, but Rex saw potential in him it just didn't materialize.

Welcome!

He leaves the Rams, voluntarily no less, to take the UGA job (a lateral move at very best), yet he'll bolt again for the NFL at the first opportunity? Seems legit.

Look at players he had around him in nfl.i get everyone wants him to fail. I just wouldn't hold my breath

Hiring Schott is like hiring Dooley. The last name is impressive, but what has he actually done? He's been an NFL OC, but he wasn't a highly successful OC. Those saying "look at who he had to work with", need to remember an NFL offense is made up of better players than a college offense. How many teams in FBS football? Compare that to 32 NFL teams. The talent on a college offense is much more watered down. His body of work does not support that he will be successful. He might be, but it's not guaranteed. However you look at it, he'll be working with inferior talent than he's used to on the college level. He'll have some very talented players that will go on to the league. He'll also have less talented players who have reached their pinnacle at the college level. Not every player goes on to a pro career.
