'15 FL OL Tyree St. Louis

Will this guy be our fifth OL this class?

Jones and Stewart at OG. Clark, Richmond, and St. Louis at OT.

Can we afford to take 5 OL in this class?

I think we need to. Remember, we are a class behind thanks to the '12 class. We are especially weak at OT. We've got Sanders and Brown. Blair will only be here for two years. I guess Kerbyson and Raulerson are athletic enough to slide outside but I don't think that is ideal.

We need at least three OT this next class IMO.

If we can somehow take a full class of 25, I think you see a 5th OL (not sure it will be St. Louis). If it's 20ish players, I doubt we take 5 OL.

Is he a take at this point?

Was wondering this as well.

Looks like he projects best as an OT, but you never know with our staff. Example: Coleman Thomas was thought to be a G/C all throughout, now we are hearing he will get a chance to be a RT.

We've got Stewart and Jones already in the fold. I'm assuming Richmond, Clark, Edoga, and Sterling Jenkins are takes at Tackle ahead of him.

They may want to move St. Louis on the interior though. And it could be a possibility, that we are only showing high interest because he's Scarbrough's teammate. Doubtful, but who knows.

But to answer your original question, my guess would be no.

"It's the tradition about them and it's the fact that I feel like I'm at home when I'm there," St. Louis explained. "Even though it's a number of hours away I feel like I'm right next to my home. They treat me how I want to be treated and they have promised me everything I want in a school. Tennessee is my number one right now."

On Mahoney:

"The best thing about him is that he's one of those really calm and collective coaches," St. Louis said. "He's the kind of guy that if you mess up he's not going to be yelling at you but he's getting to the details and showing you what you did wrong so you don't make that mistake again."

"I want to see more than what I saw at camp, like what is Tennessee really like behind closed doors," St. Louis explained. "What about the schools is giving them the great tradition or why does Tennessee feel like home? I want to find out what makes me feel like I do."

“I really like Tennessee. It’s one of those new, up and coming programs and I know where they’re trying to get and I know they have the right things going to get there,” St. Louis told InsideTennessee. “They have the right staff, the right coaches, the right facilities, the right place, the right tradition. It’s going to be good to see where they end up in a couple of years.”

“I’ve gotten to know him really good. I like coach Mahoney. He’s one of those really, really good, calm coaches,” St. Louis told IT. “He’s one of those coaches who takes his time with you. He’s not the kind that yells and cusses you out. He just gets right to the point. I like the way he prepares his players.”

+1. OL, DL and QB are critical needs in the '15 class IMO. I'd say 5 offensive lineman, 5 defensive lineman and find an elite QB.

From what I can tell, the staff has been underwhelmed by the two local Tackles from the '13 class. The only way I see them bringing in less than 6 is if they land a guy like Richmond who they can pencil in as a Day 1 starter.

I think we take 5, not necessarily counting Dylan Jackson as a OL.

Are we still recruiting Tyree St. Louis?

Tennessee was a big favorite the last few months and he was supposed to visit Tennessee for a junior day. He now has offers from Florida and Miami and his stock will continue to rise. He's been to Tennessee before and he likes the Vols, but certainly it will be tough to get him out of the state as his stock continues to climb.

This is the first I've seen Jackson mentioned as a possible OL.

Who has suggested that as a possibility?
