With Tennessee looking to solidify an already strong offensive line class with another true tackle, one name the Vols have targeted is Jacksonville, Fla., tackle William Sweet.
The 6-foot-7, 280-pound tackle out of talent-rich First Coast High School in Jacksonville has been committed to North Carolina since April but has yet to rule out taking other official visits, including one to Tennessee.
"It's a possibility that I may come for a game to support my boy from Ribault High School, Jakob (Johnson)," Sweet told Volquest.com. "He's a great guy and he's told me a little bit about Tennessee."
Sweet has kept in touch with Tennessee's staff for several months now and that effort has been spearheaded by Vols' running backs coach Robert Gillespie.
Gillespie and Sweet talked on Tuesday and even though he knows a current Vol and keeps up with the coaches he admits he doesn't know too much about the Vols but knows enough to be interested.
"I don't really know that much about them," Sweet admitted. "But, I know it's a good school, also they are good in their athletics."
Gillespie has tried to let him know that he believes Sweet can make Knoxville home if he only visits.
"He's told me there's a great opportunity both on and off the field and they would take care of us," Sweet said. "They will treat us good even when we get there."
