In case you haven't heard, Butcher opened up his recruitment and is now committed to Appy State and his primary recruiter is Coach Dale Jones. He's trying to get Gibson to show interest in Appy State for the publicity only. They wouldn't accept his commitment at any position.

Why do you guys believe he's not even worth the risk? I'd take him even though he may never pan out because if he doesn't then we still have dormady in this class. Just my opinion

The main thing is the "issues" so many sources have mentioned IMO. Another big concern would be IF the staff did tell JJ and QD they would be the only QBs for 2015, adding TG could very well cost you 1 or BOTH of those kids. I would not trade either of them for TG straight up, so why try and take him and risk losing guys who are locked in? Also taking 3 QBs in 2015 just about eliminates your chances of getting a 2016 kid. As it is playing out the staff IMO is much better off taking the 2 kids they have committed at QB and locking up 1 for 2016 and 1-2 in 2017.
