A recruit who is trying to save face while he comes up with a new plan will tend to twist things be it fact or fiction. Was TG being truthful when he said UT, OSU, AU were all pushing for his commitment? Obviously not. When he said UT was #1 was it because CBJ was ready to take his commitment? Obviously not. UT was #1 because he needed to take another visit in order to have a new #1. Do I think OSU backed off when TG kept no showing? I do. Once he finally showed up, Oscar Meyer may be willing to consider taking him now. We'll see if OSU will take him or not. He's had other schools #1 who obviously were going to pass on the kid.

I think most UT fans realize this kid will not be a Vol. It's cool you're going to ride it out hoping. I said you would claim CBJ is still pushing for TG when it's clearly not the case. About 3 months from now when he commits somewhere other than UT, you will then claim UT will still push for him till NSD. Once he signs elsewhere on NSD, you'll claim UT will keep in contact(even though it's not possible), in case he wants to transfer to UT a year or so from now. It's going to be fun to watch play out though. :thumbsup:

After seeing this guy change his leader 3 times during the summer, I think it is best to just sit and wait. He obviously has no clue what he wants.

It has never been about what TG wants. The only thing that matters is what Butch Jones wants and via verbal confirmation from Quinten Dormady, Brent Hubbs, Juaun Jennings, Doug Matthews, and Ryan Callahan, Butch Jones has no interest to bring him to UT as a QB if at all.

If any QB prospect other than Dormady interferes with our chances of getting Austin Kendall next year I am in favor of dropping them - right now. IMO that's the future of UT football at QB, Dormady and Kendall (hopefully).

Threads like this continue to get more interesting the longer they drag out...it's all the same crap each year the names just change...Scroggins, Adoree Jackson, etc etc...in the end, the kid goes elsewhere

Gibson isn't coming here. It just isn't a possibility at this point. The positions he could play are pretty much filled. Better to focus on bigger needs at this point.
