'15 FL QB/WR/DB (anything he wants) Torrance Gibson PART II

Like i said before my previous edit: He said van to the hill and Jefferson still chose UGA. Kahlil isn't a credible source.

This has played out several times this year. I doubt the coaching staff tells commitments who to recruit at all. Much like the fans they looks at *'s and try to help recruit the highly rated guys. The commitments actually having any clue if the UT staff would take a commitment from the guys they are helping recruit IMO is just not the case.

"Additional intel I've picked up has also indicated that Gibson has already informed Ohio State of his intentions. Gibson's lone official visit will be to Ohio State on September 6.

He plans to publicly announce for the Buckeyes on October 20."

If that's true it sucks we didn't get him because TG is a total stud and will more than likely be a star at wherever he goes. At least he is out of the SEC.

Good luck to TG wherever he decides to go to. Sure wish he was coming to Rocky Top though.

Many recruits, like Butcher, have mentioned the coaches did specifically tell them to recruit players. Just like they did last year.

Might be the case. I just remember the day Sterling Johnson was going to announce and Andrew Butcher especially claiming UT was about to get a commitment. Obviously he felt UT was going to take the kid, and they were not. That's why IMO the recruits have no idea who the staff would actually take and who they are just "recruiting".

Agreed. I'm just glad he didn't end up at Auburn.

Is it safe to come out yet? All of the young star gazers wanking to TG was a scary thing to wade into.

Star gazers? He had a nationally televised game against a fl powerhouse where he absolutely showed out.. At qb!!!

That's what all the excitement is about... But anyways, back to u and Leb hynotizing everyone with your agendas..

So what you're saying is I was able to hypnotize CBJ into not taking TG? Dang, I'm better than I thought. With me pushing for Dormady and then the staff actually taking him, and me pushing for Kendall and the staff actually taking him, maybe I should toss out some crazy name for a QB in 2017 NOT named Hunter Johnson and see if he ends up at UT? :birgits_giggle:

No one has ever questioned TG's ability to make plays at the QB position. Were there doubts about his arm? Oh yeah. But everyone knew that he was the most electric and dynamic runner at the HS level.

The staff opted to take 2 kids early (while they could). I definitely believe that UT really pushed for a commit when he visited. I respect the staff for getting who they got.

The "red flags" off the field maybe hindered him. If he keeps his ish together off the field, the sky is truly the limit. Polish up on the accuracy and consistency. Your gonna have one hell of a QB at the next level.

JMO.

Does anyone know who his "mentor" is or who his "people" are. That is what seems to be the reason that some places are steering clear.

This.

I watched both games. Gibson appeared to be a better quarterback -- and maybe a better athlete -- than Jennings. I was really skeptical of the people who said Butch would move Jennings to another position. I believe it now. He has elusiveness and some wheels but he just didn't look like a D1 QB.

Gibson will make a LOT of noise for OSU. He's the real deal.

I can't wait to see how Dormady performs this year. I think he's our quarterback of the future.

Per usual, all IMO.

Yep. I was saying that months ago. I'm pumped we got Dormady and I'm intrigued with Jennings' skill set but still on the fence about his future at QB. Gibson's talent is undeniable and the thought of him becoming a WR at the next level is laughable.

I hate to say it, but TG could/should become a superstar at Ohio St in CUM's system. He will tear the B1G to shreds. Oh well, at least he's out of the SEC. Maybe he'll get the chance to meet Todd Kelly Jr over the middle in the 2016 CFB playoffs. GBO!
