So CBJ likes to waste visits by bringing in guys he isn't really recruiting? That's an interesting strategy.

There will be ALOT of OV's taken to UT by kids that I have no doubt the staff would not actually take. If I were UT I would not use the OVs that way, but it looks like they will.

Bizarre thread. It should be dead but it keeps being ressurected? In the beginning I would have been fine with TG signing with UT. It's pretty d@mn clear at this point that TG will NOT be playing at UT.

TG can not take any OVs until he is in position to academically qualify.

IMO that is part of the problem. I don't think a kid should be allowed to take visits until he has a qualifying score. Maybe the kid should use the time taking trips all over the place to keeping his head in a book.

There is no qualifying score for an OV. Just have to have a test score period. Now getting the minimum score to attend that school is a completely different story. Here's a link to information provided from the NCAA site:

The problem with that is it's a moving scale that's tied to the GPA. Also there is 25% of the kid's GPA that is not factored in at the time of most visits.

Let me just say Gibson could end up being a phenomenal talent in college BUT regardless of whether he is a boom or bust in college, he will be a PITA for whatever coach takes him as far as managing his ego. I guess someone is just hoping to get Winston type talent and to be able to manage the drama that goes with him.
