'15 FL QB/WR/DB (anything he wants) Torrance Gibson PART II

Bump from hell

Hubbs just said on the radio that Gibson has been placed on the NCAA watch list for seeming to have "unlimited travel funds". They're watching him very, very closely now.

The truth has finally come out. Props to CBJ for pushing this guy away. I wanted TG badly and think he's gonna be a heck of a player but Tennessee doesn't need this kind of trouble.

Just curious what school he has been traveling to recently? Wonder if that school may get investigated?

There were rumors about a month ago on the rivals main board that Gibson and his "handler" were openly asking for cash on visits.

This was posted long after it seemed like Tennessee and Auburn quit chasing him so it could have merit.

Except that's right up Auburn's alley.

I just moved to Fort Lauderdale and I'm thinking about going to check out his game tomorrow to see what the hype is about.

I will say this...after seeing how well Dobbs fits the offense (been saying he's the best fit since the Spring O/W game), I might re-consider the Dormady commitment (if I were in Bajakian's shoes), and re-visit Gibson. I don't think our offense is terribly different than Malzahn's, except that Malzahn fully realizes he NEEDS a dynamic athlete to run his system.

Butch and Bajakian seem to content trying to make pocket passers fit their scheme. They saw Kay have a decent amount of success at Cincinnati. He is much like Worley....a pocket passer, who defenses don't respect as a zone read threat.

I'd rather have Gibson and Jennings, as slightly better passing acumen isn't enough to offset the stress an athlete puts on a defense, and the boost to the running game it provides.

It's not like Malzahn's offense. I was on the TG train fully but he has a lot of red flags surrounding him. Dormady has a great shuttle time and is much more athletic than Worley. Just because he is big and white doesn't mean he is a complete statue in the pocket. He and Jennings will be very good.
