Classes are built on QB's. You have to commit them in the summer or else you forfeit a lot of talent that you can not make up for later. A QB also has to be a leader and act like a leader in pulling a class together. This kid does not demonstrate that kind of behavior. It is all about him. That is fine but not what UT is looking for.

If he comes here he had better commit before Jefferson or I see any potential spot for him evaporating at UT.

The whole recruitment is slowing down now. I'm getting a lot of pressure from the schools wanting me to commit early because other quarterbacks in my class are committing. I just don't want to rush anything and get locked in to a situation that I'm uncomfortable with. I want to make the right decision; that's why I plan to take my time with it.

I'm still thinking that I'm probably going to commit after the season. I'll definitely take all five officials too. Once I make my announcement; that's it. I'm not a traitor. When I commit I'm definitely all in. That's another reason why it's taking so long for me.

If he really really wants to be a vol and sees our class filling up he will pull the trigger no matter when it is. That is if he truly wants to be a vol

I don't see CBJ letting someone takes Richmonds place, unless 1.) Richmond goes elsewhere 2.) someone wants his spot that is equally as good.

so what is Dave Hooker's problem? So much misinformation on his radio show yesterday. Everything from him switching schools, to TG's a diva/attitude issues, to we've quit recruiting him as well as OSU. It was hilarious when Ryan got on there and basically refuted everything he said, then Hooker reiterated all the misinfo again after Ryan hung up. It was sad and irresponsible journalism imo.

He is easily the worst of all the TSR shows and needs to stop.

Would I tend to trust the local guys vs the Miami guy trying to keep TG as "the big story"? I would. If you don't think Bartow wants to keep TGs commitment a big deal your crazy. JMO

Thanks Doc...the lines get blurred on this board when one side of a discussion takes ownership of fan status and starts issuing absolute statements..."Agree with us or you're a TROLL"...that attitude is what's made me so active on this thread...Leb and Tux have kept their cool and maintained their stance...nod to them...you considering that trip to Norman Doc?

the ohio state reporter also refuted some of the info Hooker was saying. Then the next day, TG's blog gets posted that we are still the leader? I'm not saying anyone is right or wrong b/c i have no clue nor insider info. But when 2 journalists come on your show back to back, and say almost the exact opposite as you, then maybe its time to stop. Hooker was completely wrong about the whole changing schools thing, and also wrong about some of his other information such as tennessee and OSU had all but stop recruiting him should have made him back off. yet he continued to spout off. that is irresponsible journalism and makes him a hack imo. Sounds like he was the one stirring the pot to me.

After that I went to Tennessee and had a good time. I didn't really even want to talk about football so the coaches didn't really even bring anything up about football. I thought that was cool.

I think the highlight was playing pool, ping pong and video games with the players and the coaches. I think the best pool player on the visit was Coach Jake (Mike Bajakian). He was killing me! But no one was beating me in 2K! I play with the Warriors and I've definitely lost a few times but not too many times.

After the visit I would still have to say that Tennessee is the leader for me right now.

If you have halfway kept up with Hooker's career and comments over the past 5-10 years you know he really is just not very good or ethical at what he does. I put him on "ignore" a long time ago.

living at the outer gates of hell, there is 0 UT sports talk, so my only exposure is now from the TSR radio app.

Thanks, that's what i was trying to figure out. I love TSR for the most part, esp treece and swain. It at least gives me some radio to listen to on the road. Ainge is ok and brings somewhat meaningful analysis but he an jaybay can be pretty annoying in the am, like frat house chatter or something.

BUT nowhere near as bad as JAY BARKER AND AL DELGRECO.......sheesh, they are terrible, esp Barker, who acts like a world beater but had one of the best defenses ever to bail him out. I sent him a nasty email about Fulmer and how he was admonished by the judge in that case and he has at least quit bashing him on the air every chance he gets.

I doubt if Hubbs gets his info from Hooker. Maybe TG does have UT as his favorite. Most likely it has more to do with twitter #'s at this point. Of course if Hubbs thinks UT would not take his commitment going forward, it makes sense he would say what he did about he would not call Tennessee the favorite going forward.
