Clarington plans on taking an official visit to Tennessee for the Alabama game.
While the 6-foot-5, 224-pound Clarington said he hasn't mapped out his five official visits, he knows one will be to Tennessee for the Alabama game.
Tennessee: "I like the environment there and they're in the SEC. That's competition because it's one of the hardest conferences in college football."
It's only my personal assessment of his play so far. He's often been slow and dropped easy catches. Neither of these things are something you can do in a league that depends on young performers. The sec has changed in recent years and not having players be able to perform until late in their college career doesn't win games year in and year out. What happens if one year the players in a position don't pan out and the rest of the team suffers waiting a year for the next class of players to develop? What happens if you have players go pro early and you have to wait for those next players to develop? I'd be pleasantly surprised if it clicked for him this year after three years in college but until that happens I'll make judgement on what he's shown. I'm not saying he is bad, I'm just saying he hasn't been as good as needed. He still has time to show up but it's got to be this year or he won't see the field the next year with the players we have now and coming in.

You are wrong IMO and not because anybody's Momma posts here. Croom is a major situational miss match and he has nice top end speed for his size. I remember watching his recruiting videos and thinking " this guy has great acceleration after the catch". Not sure if you have seen Croom lately but the kid is a monster. He is gonna be a nightmare after the catch for any sec DB that's not ready to bring it 100%. I guess this season will tell the tale but I'd be careful disregarding a kid that is willing to work as hard as Croom has.
Ainge said to watch out for Croom this year. Said he now realizes he's bigger than everyone else and can run over anyone that gets in his way. He has also been working hard and learning the system. Hopefully he will make the catches and steam roll some guys. He should make a heck of a down field blocker also.
