This doesn't sound like a Mckenzie or Tuttle-esque lock. But it does look good. I'm looking forward to getting up tomorrow in time for a big commit.
In all seriousness though...we better start seeing some of that recruiting attrition soon. We will have another 30+ class before we know it.
"I think there's definitely still a chance Abernathy could announce tomorrow, but I don't believe there's any certain time it's likely to happen. As far as I know, he hasn't planned an announcement ceremony or anything like that, so we'll see what happens. He's a pretty low-key guy, so I'm guessing he's either just going to let media know about his decision, send out a tweet or something along those lines.
Whatever he does, no matter when he does it, we'll obviously let you know as soon as we hear something."

@Carvell_AJC: (1/2) I do NOT have this confirmed but another source says Micah Abernathy will be committing tomorrow morning #Vols #UGA
@Carvell_AJC: (2/2) Source said that #Vols agreed to take Micah's older brother, who is medical redshirt at Cincy & will graduate in Dec.

@Carvell_AJC: (3/3) apparently #UGA waited until tonight to agree to take Micah's brother, also. It might be too late. Again, waiting to confirm
Tennessee has been on a roll as of late on the recruiting trail and that roll doesn't look like it's likely to slow down heading into Friday with Georgia cornerback Micah Abernathy set to announce his decision today.
Thursday night Abernathy told Volquest.com he didn't have a set time and would sit down with his parents and coaches in the morning to come to a final decision.
Everything this week we've dug up has pointed to Abernathy likely being a Vol on Friday. Georgia has continued to recruit the long athlete and there were conversations with Georgia even into Thursday night, but Abernathy's comfort with the Vol coaching staff, along with Abernathy's comfort with current players on the team seems to have won over the three-star athlete.
What could be interesting is the situation with Abernathy's older brother at Cincinnati. Ralph David Abernathy IV played in Cincinnati's first two games of the season but hasn't played since and there are some wondering if the senior may take a redshirt this season and move on to another school for a final year and Tennessee could be a choice. It's something to watch for sure.
