'15 GA DE D'Andre Walker

Man this kid is fast we do not have anyone like it on our roster right now. And before people say he's a freshmen he won't play next year need to watch game again last week forget kids name but we recruited him and his dad liked us but he like uga.He was a Georgia kid. Anyway he made several plays

We are about at the point that incoming freshman aren't going to play very much unless they are complete studs. Walker is a stud don't get me wrong; however, Henderson, Maggit, Veeren, L. Lewis, and Weatherd are all going to be in front of him. I'm not sure he can even be a situational pass rusher for us because Maggit, Veeren, Weatherd, and Henderson should lock it down on passing 3rd down situations. Playing freshman every year has put us in the shape we are in now. With CBJ now here, we are finally getting away from having to rely on freshman every year. This is only possible with a staff that continually recruits top talent every year, something we haven't had since the mid-2000s with Fulmer, until now. Just imagine in a few years when guys like KMac won't come in a start right away because we will already have 2-3 KMacs already in front of him. It's a beautiful thing, and it's how you build winning football programs.

From Brad Shepard who CB'd Walker to IT earlier

I saw Brad Shepard CB'd Walker to UT. I'm wondering if he has a source on that or just a gut feeling?
I love Walker, to say he gets after it is an understatement. The guy is a nightmare off the edge.

-------------------

You don't have to wonder. Just ask.
So, I of course read all the stuff from TOS where one of their analysts who cover Walker's area says he thinks Walker is a UT lean. So -- as I've told you guys before from my time working at the Journal-Constitution, I have some Atlanta-area sources who are connected with high school football in Georgia. (Yes, I know Walker isn't from Atlanta.) So, I call him and he says that the Vols have quietly been the favorite for Walker for some time and that the kid loves Thigpen.
He says much the same stuff that I won't repeat from TOS, but given some of the things UT has guaranteed him, I felt strongly enough to CB him to UT.
FWIW, I also flipped my CB pick to Ole Miss for Philips.

Watched his highlights. Filthy fast. If he was just a little bigger hed be a top 25 guy for sure

Also were really starting to see the ripple effect of kmac and tut on the dline. I knkw id love to play beside them. What i dont understand is why we dont have mlb beating down the door with aj leaving and those guys up front. Seems like one of the best situations in the nation.

Cecil Cherry.

I swear i dont know how i keep forgetting about him. Must be because he committed so early and has been drama free the whole time. Nvm we good lol is smith a middle backer as well? Hes a big dude so i cant remember.

As of today, the only thing that would keep him from being a Vol, is academics. I am by no means suggesting their are issues there. Im simply stating his intentions are to be in Knoxville next fall.

Check this out!

Projected front 7 depth for 2015:

DE: Vereen, Lewis, Henderson, Taylor, Ford
DT: O'Brien, Tuttle, Mixon, Picou
DT: McKenzie, O. Williams, Saulsberry, Sawyers, Moseley(probably moves to OL)
DE: Barnett, Hendrix, Butcher, Vickers, Jackson(could also move to OL)

OLB/DE: Maggit, Weatherd, Walker(potential commit:))
MLB: Bryant, J. Johnson, Cherry, Jumper, Bynum, King
OLB: Reeves-Maybin, Bates, Berry, McDowell, Smith

Even with having to replace AJ, that has the potential to be a shut down D. Just looks like a nasty SEC front 7. The days of getting gashed in the running game are coming to an end. Plus, Maggit, Weatherd, Williams, and Saulsberry would be the only SRs out of all those guys, so we would still be fairly young with a lot of room to grow.

Now also realize that the only DB we lose next year who plays a bunch is Justin Coleman.

P.S. These aren't really my predictions for who will start, just an indication of the talent and depth being stockpiled on the hill!

Not to mention that our OL will be stronger since not only will we get all of them back, but simply because they will have to practice against all these studs LOL...

Thankfully the DE's are interchangeable because I wouldn't put Vereen, Henderson or Lewis among the 4 most talented DE's on that list. Now they may play because of experience but I feel confident there are at least 4 guys listed there at DE that are more talented.

Hendrix is going to end up being really good sooner or later.

Davin Bellamy?

Out of the 27 schools he shows interest in on rivals, every one of them extended him an offer except for Vandy....DU FU??

I wanna see a heavy package with kmac and tut in the middle and barnett and hendrix on the ends. Would be nasty

I'd say this kid is our next commit. Good lord, what an insane haul on the DL for '15 so far. This defense is gonna destroy opposing offenses in the near future.
All these DE's are going to be able to go off with so much pressure coming up the middle, from the DT's. It's going to be sick. Watch the sack totals double next year.

I could definitely see Hendrix starting next year on the other side of Barnett. I was kinda grouping them into SDE and WDE on that list.
