'15 GA DT Quentez Johnson (NC State commit)

I said a week ago that this would be telling of where we stand with other DTs.

Picou on board. Khalil announces in less than a week. And we are serious players for DJ Jones and Shy Tuttle.

After they took Picou I think it did show the staff ideally wanted 3 DTs for 2015. I think passing on QJ says they will roll the dice on Jones or Tuttle and be fine with just 2(Picou/McKenzie) IF they happen to miss on those guys.

Only thing I did not like about this situation was UT being a hat on the table, when UT would not have taken him. Small thing but IMO for a kid to have a school as an option, it should have to be confirmed somehow that the school would actually take them. JMO

How could that be done?...

Technically I don't think it could as the coaches can't comment about a recruit before they are signed.

I just never care to see a recruit "pick this school over other schools" when the "other schools" would not have even taken him.

Someone said it's nitpicking, and I can see that. I just don't see the point of having schools on the table as options, who are actually not.

1st amendment gives you the right to lie, LV. As much as it's undesirable, it's a vital part of the freedom we enjoy in the best country in the world.

Fair Enough.

Maybe it's just something I don't think I could do. If I knew a school would not take me, I would not want them as a part of my moment, even if it looked better to have some big time programs in it. JMO

It's tough to apply adult logic to the actions of a teenager sometimes. Who knows, maybe the NC State coaches encouraged him to do it so they can tell their other recruits they beat Tennessee in a recruiting battle. It's all part of the game.

Heck, wasn't there a kid a few years ago that did a presser at his school and none of the hats on the table even offered him...including the school that he "committed" to?
